I would like a formal apology from every person who doubted my first thread. This upset was seen from a mile away and takes major ball knowledge to understand. The sheer strength of this ash team in there right formation is unworldly. Mr halawani and Mr gosserand held it down in an ASH SHOCKING THE WORLD OVER MANDEVILLE. Mandeville it was just wrong timing for the team and met a very hot Alexandria senior high soccer team. This is what we live and love soccer for.

I’ve been quiet this year on the boards. However this one rule always remains the same. NEVER DOUBT THE TROJANS.

Menardhater needs to apologize too I absolutely will not apologize because by some miracle ash won with Mrs Halawani on the feild it is truly a gift from God he did absolutely nothing this game remove him and let them play with 10 and the result is the same it’s honestly a shame that Mrs Halawani is even allowed to play she is just a traffic cone on the pitch and needs to end her career now for she has no chance of furthering his career after round 2 which will surely be a loss!!!

Same thing with ASH two years ago, Gallstar doubted them almost every match and they proved him wrong. Wouldn’t be surprised if ASH makes a deep run in the playoffs.

Nice win by ASH. Enjoy it while you can, the season will be over soon. I see the same results from their game on 12/20/23. 3-0 Lafayette! NUFF SAID!

don't know anything about what was said on another thread but I went to the game today. ASH players seemed to follow their game plan and kudos to putting away one of their 5 long free kicks. But MHS would have won that game 9 of the 10 times it was played. Probably out chance ASH 20 to 5... better 1st half than 2nd, 1st half had at least 7-8 chances inside the 6 putting 3-4 wide and ASH keeper grabbing/parrying the rest. Too much dribbling/individual play in the secong half brought fewer chances but enough to have pulled out a w, if not for solid, smart ASH D (and gk). Impressed with ASH NOT resorting to fouling the dribbler.. gave up tons of corners and deep throws but defended those well. PR be damned, it is what it is.

Making me question the true integrity of this platform going against Ash like that. Overall though it proves to never bet against the Trojans and the fact many thought it was a joke proves.

If they played Mandeville around that time I wouldn't have been surprised by a near mercy rule. Ash is on fire and will not disappoint fans at the Butch Stoker. Trojans 2-1

Didn’t watch the whole first half, but I caught the last 10 minutes and the whole 2nd half. In those 10 minutes of the first half, ash looked like the better team. Mandeville was struggling to build out of the back and string passes together. Ash has a great midfielder—I think his number was 27–who was by far the best player on the field for me, (hard to tell bc the live stream was laggy at times). With that being said, Mandeville probably had upwards 80% of possession in the 2nd half and probably deserved to score a couple. Ash’s team is organized and they stick to what they know. Kudos on the upset, this is what we love about the playoffs.

agreed, ASH's center backs and center mids were solid, solid defensively and when given a bit of time they could connect...as they go forward dealing with the speed of play will be AN issue

First, It’s eye opening to me to read a few of these posts, especially from arguably one of the most successful coaches in the state. In two different posts, smoser says that MHS would win this game 9-10 times and credits ASH for a smart game plan and solid play from the CBs and mids. I will acknowledge the ASH GK played a great game but was ASHs smart game plan to play 8 defenders and hope that MHS didn’t shoot well? That’s what happened. I’m pretty sure that was the plan in the 0-0 result from SPS vMHS only SPS did a better job of counter attacking without finding the net. The District Champ Skippers were difficult to score on this season. Next. Ronaldinho7 says ASH looked like the better team. Really??MHS had no less than 80% possession and out shot them 20-1. How can anyone who is being truthful say that ASH was the best team. While upsets are why we play the game, it’s obvious that the best team doesn’t always win. I watched @ 45 games this season and can’t tell you how will come out on top but I can say that if it’s not your day, you don’t win.
On a side note. The most unexpected event of the upset was the post game celebration by the ASH team. The foul language, middle finger, and crotch grab while taunting the younger siblings, parents, and grandparents of the MHS team showed me that maybe ASH should learn how to win. I assure them that this behavior will likely not go over so well if they end up beating a team with a less respectable fan base. Good luck to everyone who is still playing and I will wait for the next round of results to share ONLYTHEFACTS.
