Is it true a few U-High players weren't eligible for the final vs Willow? Haven't seen that discussed yet.

If the article posted earlier is to be believed and "every" player from each team left the bench and entered the field then both teams should have been DQed from participating in the state championship game.
Per the LHSAA Handbook: "If a fight occurs, officials shall determine which player(s) will be disqualified as well as identifying bench personnel who leave the confines of the bench during a fight as they will also be disqualified."
Why weren't the rules properly enforced?

looks like #13, their top goal scorer and captain, and #10, a very strong center back, weren’t in the final game, they had their jerseys on the bench as well as their back up keeper, maybe it had something to do with the fight?

I don’t think this game has been talked about enough. After that semifinal game ulab lost all my respect. From parents to players all of it was poor class. Ulab should be ashamed of what they did. For those who don’t know one of ulabs players spit on VC’s coach while some pushed him almost to the ground. It’s different to be happy and celebrate as a team but whenever you take it to poor sportsmanship that’s when it’s a problem. Both 13 and 10 didn’t deserve to play that game after what happened.

As someone that has seen the video of the incident, number 13 did indeed not spit on the vandy coach, but he did celebrate in front of the vandy bench then the coach pushed him back which triggered number 10 to push the coach. both players were suspended from the final game, 13 for taking his shirt off and taunting and 10 for pushing the coach. The parents of vandy made the spitting and middle fingers story up. This is not the first time Vandy parents have made up stories after loosing.

UHigh stays true to their name. These players should be drug tested for all intents and purposes.

Two consecutive seasons ULab vs VCHS has controversy that put ULab at an advantageous position. Everyone who has watched the videos can make their own judgements, and that’s not a “wah-wah” as someone stated but a fact!

Let's talk about. Let's first talk about the real issue at hand, why Vandy's coach would put his hands on another team's player (#13). Because this is what happened. Yes the kid celebrated. They beat Vandy and were headed to the championship. As #13 went by Vandy's coach reached toward him and put his hands on #13. That is when #10 pushed the coached off of his teammate. They were all running at the time and no one stopped. No one spit on anyone. There was no force and the coach did not fall on the ground as previously commented and deleted. It all happened so fast and barely looks like anything in the video. These two players were suspended and still showed up to cheer for their team. That is sportsmanship. Does the video need to be posted? No. They are minors and there is no need to exploit them. That would be as classless as those making false accusations. Sure all will quiet down once you see Vandy's coach sit out for his one game suspension next season as he was held accountable as well. He would have sat out the championship game as well except they didn't make it there. Now if you want to tell a story, let's tell all of it.

Vandys coach wasn’t gonna let somebody curse and talk trash and spit on one of our players lol. How are u gonna say no spit came out of his mouth when you know u can see that on the veo, but the players can obviously vouch and would have saw. Vandy never retaliated until not once but twice vandys coach was pushed. The veo doesn’t show the parents that we’re flicking off vandys parents ,nor the fact that when both teams were split up ulab players were also flicking vandys parents off. So I would keep quiet if u weren’t at the game because you obviously don’t know the full story. Also too bad vandy scored in the last two minutes of the game off a corner and it was called back due to a little push when the game was called physical. Vandy has had that same ref three years in a row state finals 2022, quarterfinals 2023, and this year 2024. He obviously never watched anything higher than a highschool match because any other ref would have not called this back. Watching any game at the next level everyone is physical in the box and if I’m wrong please talk to me.

There are very few, if any reason for a coach to lay hands on any High School player period. Especially an opposing player.
