You may be right. I've experienced high soccer for about the same period and to it seems for the most part, the dynamic has shifted from great all around teams, to average overall teams with 2-3 outstanding players. It's interesting to sit back and consider, in my opinion lately there have been individual players who surpass talent I've seen. But there not Kobe Bryants, they make their entire team better. Obviously we cant see past vs present, but seeing a great all around team play a team with superior individual players who make their team better would be a great spectacle to see. The MVP's from the past few years have been truly amazing talents, much better players than I saw in my day.

I didn't get to see many games this year so I can't really comment on how the talent was this year. But what I do know is, that this year was one of the most competitive years in High School soccer that I've seen in a long time. There were several upsets in every division in the playoffs, and that's a great thing to see.
Aren't we supposed to be discussing DIII All State?
