So AJ Dawson makes First Team All State and Honorable Mention for District... Well said! I'll leave you with this: FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT. good to see he was recognized by a more diverse group of voters.

I agree with putting the Vandy team together and who is this ebersohn player who plays for ASH as I do not remember him playing in any of the tournaments. I remember the tall player with the freaky hair, #7 at ASH and he was the only player that did anything in the midfield. Did he score a lot of goals or something? i just do not remember this ebersohn so he obviously did not play much??

well obviously he did play a lot if he made ALL STATE..he's a very good player..him and ian ragsdale #7 were the best players for them

What tournament did you see us play in? Frans missed the St Louis tournament because he wasn't here but that was the only tournament he missed and then a couple of games. He was #12, shorter, really curly hair, fast. He played in a lot of positions this year but generally was in the center of midfield with me.

i was just looking over this thing again. Vandy- 9 players WINNERS; STM- 3 players, quarter-finalist; EA- 1 player, FINALIST; Parkway 1 player- Bi-District; Pineville 2 players, bi-district. Really shows how political this. I mean okay, Vandy are the powerhouse team but when you look at the rest it shows they just throw people in there to represent their areas of louisiana. I just can't make sense of how they pick the teams, I think the next all state should have limits of maybe 2 players per team, that way people have to actually look for the most talented players not just good players from the best team, people may learn how to judge talent a bit better that way

i disagree on limiting the ammount from a team that can be on there... some teams like vandy just deserve to have more then that on that team.. then you are not necessary getting the top people from the state

So would you cut off Gordon Blum, Elliot Lewis, Ryan Porche, or John Lapeyre? These guys would have made all state in any Division.
Limiting the numbers of players from a team would eliminate any credibility this list has. The D2 all stat team is probably the best of the three.
Instead of complaining, make a case for a particular player who deserves to be here ahead of those that were chosen.

not necessarily limiting it to that number but NINE players? is there that little talent in D2 that one team has 9 players? that's my argument

He was #12, shorter, really curly hair, fast. He played in a lot of positions this year but generally was in the center of midfield with me. Sorry about the hair comment but it is different and it was the showcase where i saw ash play. But i think i seen this #12 play in lafayette and do not think he is as good as the #7. That is my opinion he just doesn't have the same skill level. That is why i questioned his selection to all state.

Yeah he wasn't here for that tournament but he does play for the Fury.

I have to disagree with beckamismyidol. What happens if you get another dominant performance by a Vandebilt next year. Only two of the players would get a vote. I think Vandebilt deserved all the all-state awards they received. They were stacked with talent and two votes would be unjustifiable. Also, I saw the hair. I dare you to grow that mane as long as possible.
