kinda amusing how lafayette keeps "dominating" teurlings each time they play but teurlings keeps winning the game. maybe they should add points to tournament scoring for "dominating" a game but not winning it !! did you watch either of the games when they played eachother?

I'm a supporter of most lafayette area teams and pk wins count for a win but the stirring up of trouble would erupt from that 1 comment... both teams have their trouble with scoring and PKs are just something that Teurlings do well at and dontmatta*... I saw all 3.. it seems the team that dominates the game b/t this matchup ends up losing the game

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda, TCH deserves more love on this board fact is they win. Excuses you want excuses in the final against Clinton the Rebels were so banged up and without, Matt and Tyler(ankels)Ross played with a badly hurt wrist. Brooke was limping too and Dylan and a host of other players had played almost every min of every game. But what did they do, played a very good Clinton team to a 2-1 loss shook hands and took home the 2nd place trophy, never made excuses. Congrats to TCH!!

guru I am going to have to disagree with you lafayette did not look good at all and that was the general opion amongst the parents and audience of the Brother Martin and Teurlings game. They should have lost the Brother Martin game, but they were saved by a very lucky goal on the second string keeper. I just saw the first half of the Teurlings game but lafayette looked horrible. One of the parents did tell me they are a second half team, but I don't know it was not what I expected out of them. I am trying to make sense out of this statement. BM and TCH played before the LHS/BM game. How could they comment on a game that had not been played yet? Am I understanding the series of events correctly? As for the "lucky goal", had it gone the other way, I am sure the Crusader player would have been praised for his smart, agressive play. And I think it might have been me who told you we were a second-half team. As for us playing horribly, naturally I disagree. But it will reiterate my previous post by saying the Teurlings does seems to have our number, as the saying goes. That said, kudos to TCH for a strong showing.

Having played both teams at this tournament. Both teams are quality. Lafayette seemed to get more numbers into the attack and were really good at finding the open man and minimizing touches on the ball. Teurlings on the other hand played more of a direct style...and by that I do not mean kick ball...they played more directly using the big forwards and wings to get the ball up the field quickly. I think we get too wrapped up in trying to say one team is better than the other. It's all about matchups with who you are playing on that particular day.

teurlings and lafayette are too very good teams... the outcome of the last two games both ended in a shoot out... and to me a shoot out is almost the same as the flip of the coin. although ray savoie(tch keeper) came up big twice in the shoot out... he is a very good keeper.. soo i rate tch and lafayette about the same...
