Looks like some good soccer being played in New Orleans and Lafayette after looking at the polls.

Looks like some good soccer being played in New Orleans and Lafayette after looking at the polls. That is always the case, that is where the premier club and rec programs are. But it is particularly true this year, as far as BTR teams are concerned. No BTR team has stood up this year, as indicated by the fact no team made the final round in the Showcase. In DI, perrenial Top 10 teams such as Catholic, Dutchtown, Baton Rouge, and St. Amant struggle. The same thing goes in DIII (University and West Feliciana struggle), except that Episcopal is doing somewhat well. DII teams are doing a little better with EA, Tara, St. Michaels, and Lee being contenders.

Please see "Power Ratings in Soccer" thread for details. The Top 10 list above is according to this computer based ratngs. We discussed an advantage of Northern teams in power ratings, which is shown in St. Fred's case.... I personally don't think St. Fred is there (and I don't think anyone does).

Jesuit's going to win the championship... hands down. There's no reason to even be asking these questions.
Take Jesuit out of the question for this year and we can have some debates.
As for D2 and D3 I guess it's the team that all the pollsters have picked as of this time as number one. But it will be interesting to see how things go.

wow rb lets just send jesuit the title and end the season right now. i agree that they are the best team in the state but have you ever heard of an upset. thats when a team,(like the one you coach), beats a team better than them. as a coach i am sure your kids would love to know that you don't think they can beat a team that on paper is better than them.
as for this poll everyone is crazy because they don't have acadiana in it. yes they have 5 loses but 4 of them are to other top ten teams. please keep it up guys, i can't wait until the rams shock people in the playoffs. as for you rb why don't you just tell your team they can turn in their cleats!

Goatman... I've already told my boys to turn their cleates in and have fun for what we have left for our season... lol I love upsets and I live for them. That's something that we've done here at Destrehan for the past couple of seasons. And we've done them very well. We are building ourselves up to the bigger upsets that will happen in the future. I agree with you, the poll is crazy, and no, I do not wish for my team to be in it. Acadiana, keep shocking teams when you can. You have a great team and will do well this season. Sincerely, you have a great team and I wish you the best of luck this year. wow rb lets just send jesuit the title and end the season right now. i agree that they are the best team in the state but have you ever heard of an upset. thats when a team,(like the one you coach), beats a team better than them. as a coach i am sure your kids would love to know that you don't think they can beat a team that on paper is better than them. as for this poll everyone is crazy because they don't have acadiana in it. yes they have 5 loses but 4 of them are to other top ten teams. please keep it up guys, i can't wait until the rams shock people in the playoffs. as for you rb why don't you just tell your team they can turn in their cleats!
