Chris156, you're not a Magnet player (as they are at pratice right now), and you don't know what matters or not to Magnet players; In 6 + years I have not seen a game yet between these two that was not important. (It's a rivalry) It's exciting and intense for the players which makes it very enjoyable for the audience there. I'm thinking game ends in OT with a Win by Magnet , however the record of past years favors Shreve.

I agree with ShreveDad, both teams are looking forward to this game.
I'm not sure which player Shreve may have lost but I hope both teams are at full strenght. Can anyone say who the player is?
Magnet was without Luke Snow (starting mid defender) in the first district match due to injury. He should be a big help on defense tomorrow night. He's only a sophmore but he has been the glue for his club team on defense since U11 and has played really well for Magnet this year. He also knows Brennan very well being they play together on their club team. I'm looking forward to watching these two go head to head.
Having Luke will also get Magnet back to a stronger rotation at midfield which gives them a few more options with Jimmy and Ethan. It should be fun....

ok folks...it probably will be a great game and all but i dont think it will be a great of a game as some of you are making it out to be. Magnet only wins district if they beat Byrd. So honestly, except for top 10 and record keeping, this game doesnt exactly mean a lot to the Magnet players. This is the last Magnet/Shreve game for both teams' seniors. It means everything to the

My prediction is Magnet 2 Shreve 0.

Obviously Shreve will not be at full strength due to the loss of Paxton but we cannot hide behind that because this is our team now and this game will show just how much depth we have. No prediction from me because it would be too biased haha

So honestly, except for top 10 and record keeping, this game doesnt exactly mean a lot to the Magnet players. Im not saying that they wont give it their all, but its just not as important to them as the Byrd game will be. Yea... this is my last game vs. Shreve ever... It definately means alot to me, and I'll definately be going 100% as well as my team... you're an idiot. And as for the Byrd game, that's not nearly as important to me as this one. Hope you don't get your information from a bench warmer, or be one of the Byrd players trying to trash talk again.

Thats what I expected to hear from the Magnet players. These are special matches that the players, coaches, parents and students from both schools look forward to each year. Best of luck to both teams. I'm sure this will be as exciting as last time. bpongdd, I hope you get 2 tonight but your team goes down 3-2!

I think bpongdd will get 2 tonight, he has really been playing well. His game against Vandebilt was something to see. I think Magnet will play with the same intensity they did against St. Pauls and Vandebilt and come away with a 3-1 victory.
I'm guessing Brennan gets 1 for Shreve. He just can't seem to not score when he plays against Magnet, how bout you give us a break tonight......

Chris156, your crazy if you think that this doesnt mean anything to the magnet players! There is no way that Magnet wont play their hardest tonight! Mainly because it IS the last game these seniors will ever play against Shreve but another reason is becasue ITS A SHREVE GAME! Magnet and Shreve have always been big rivals and i know for a fact that the Magnet players arent just going to let this one get away from them without a fight. next time, before you post, think about what youre saying.

but anyways, what are the strong and low points for these two teams? are they pretty evenly matched or is one team better than the other?

Magnet-good all around but not especially good in any one area. Also good individual players like Zack, Nick, and Eric
Shreve-good in most areas with great sweeper John Michiels and good forward combo of Brennan/Ryan. Shreve wins the keeper category with Bennet Bynum
Probably going to be on of the better games this year

Better team won tonight. Shreve had a hard time possessing the ball the whole match. Magnet scored 20 minutes into the first half when Johnson got the ball 30 yards out and was able to hold Michiels off and beat the keeper from just outside the 6. First 30 minutes were totally controlled by Magnet. Could have been 3-0 by then. Last 10 minutes of the first half were fairly evenly played with neither team doing much. Second half started much like the first ended. Evenly played until Magnet scored again around the 60 minute mark. Goodwin got the goal after 6 or 7 passes were made after a corner. He found himself in front of the goal with the ball and put it in. Magnet scored again in the last 4 minutes when Johnson beat the Shreve sweeper and put in his second goal. Shreve had 1 good chance at the end but the Magnet keeper stopped it.
Congrats to Magnet, they played a good match and deserved to win. They were definitely the sharper team tonight. Playing the St. Pauls tournament has kept them sharp. Shreve has only played 1 match in the last 3 weeks and it showed.

Clienteastwood, I believe you have it wrong: Shreve does not win o n keeper category, as the Magnet keeper Chris Hilario was superior when it counted by making a great save on the only challenge of the game , therefore deflating Shreve 's chances. Great game Magnet . MVP's for Caddo side on this game I would say EJ and Micah Goodwin !!

The game could very easily been 7 or 8-0 had Caddo converted on the multiple opportunities throughout the game. I was expecting a more intense exciting match between these 2 teams , but I guess the lack of games by Shreve hurt them tonight like SHreveDad stated.
