it was a real close game in the semis last year...very wet, slightly raining, and cold at BM and all fans were on the line b/c BM had no seating and it was tied up at end of game 1-1 im pretty sure. they ended up goin into double overtime, wich they played as sudden death (golden goal) if i remember correctly, with the first overtime scoreless. after the end of the first half of the second over time, BM had a very close shot wich hit the crossbar making everybody on and off of the fields heart skip a beat. early in the second half of the double OT carencro got a shot off and with them playing golden goal, gave them the win... i personally think it should have been the championship game b/c it was a much better team (not dissing fhs) and game compared to the finals.
i didnt get to see the game this year

Caddo 3 Shreve 0
Shreve only had 1 maybe 2 shots on goal this game and Caddo had a number of missed opportunities. Good overall performance by Caddo.

Shreve had only one shot on goal and it was denied by Caddo's keeper Chris Hilario on a great save ! :-)

depending on this weeks results....CL should be in. From what I have read, 11 of the last 12 wins... they get votes, if in or not.... who cares. Rankings don't mean a whole lot but a team needs the props when they deserve them and CL is definitely up for the props and consideration.
I see them being anywhere between 8 - 13. But I know how you all feel about my thoughts. But, CL is definitely a team in consideration of the top ten depending on their results of this week.
Call me stupid as I am sure you all feel about me.

How many places do you think magnet will go up after beating shreve? Do you think shreve will go out of the top 10?

should cl be ranked after the win against south terrebone?? They are a borderline team when it comes to being ranked. They have won 13 of their last 14 now. They are probally one of the hottest teams in the state, but flying under the radar because they don't have the big name of the other teams. So to answer your question, are they a top 10 team, probally so. Will you probally see them get votes? Probally not. They are a great team that is flying under the radar, and to me, that is the best place to be. It is not where you are in the standings entering the playoffs, but where you finish after the playoffs that matters.

i do understand that CL has won something like 12 of the last 13 but the thing that troubles me about them is that all of those wins have been against either weak or mediocre teams but maybe they do deserve to be in the top 10 we will see

i do understand that CL has won something like 12 of the last 13 but the thing that troubles me about them is that all of those wins have been against either weak or mediocre teams but maybe they do deserve to be in the top 10 we will see When they were going through the harder part of their schedule, they did struggle. Players were out due to injury, player got in car accident in traveling to a game, and things like that seem to plague CL at the start. However since then, they have put it together. They have beat Destrehan, Hahnville, St. Amant to get their streak started. These are no easy matches. To make a statement going into district, they played Pearl River, Greensville St. Joe and won into PKs. Same team that Rummel has lost too. (Both Rummel/CL tied earlier in the year). South Terrebonne is a good team, and will defantly shock somebody in the playoffs if they go into the game thinking it isnt a known team, and it will be an easy win. You can argue that CL is struggling more in district than year past, but the simple fact is, this district is stronger than in years past. The caliber of the teams in the Houma area is going up. Granted it is no District 3, 5, 9, but it is getting stronger. They have scored 49 goals over thier win streak, and have conceded 16.

Nobody has brought it up yet and theres still a little week left to play some soccer but, this next weeks top ten is defintely going to change.. look for Brother Martin to drop atleast 2 or 3 place due to the loss to Rummel (and Rummel move up of course).. Captain Shreve to fall off top ten with the loss to Magnet and due to the recent results of Central Lafourche, who i believe deserves to move into the top ten with such impressive results

Sorry... this post was deleted for some reason... I guess you can all imagine why. But, I will keep reposting it until it is kept up on here.
With Brother Martin going down to Rummel and then tying Ben Franlklin, that's a disgrace for them.
Basically, the whole year for Brother Martin has been a dissappointment. How many ties do they have this year? Can they find a way to win any of those games. A team that ties that many games isn't deserved a top ten vote.
Yes, you can say they don't lose, but they don't win either. The last time I remembered, winning was important when it comes to getting rankings.
Teams can't live on the past. This year is this year. If you are a voter that ranks the teams, you can say that in the past Brother Martin has been one of the best. But this year is another year and you can't judge them on their past, but rather, their current rusults. You have to ask yourself if this year that BM is one of the best teams. I don't see how you can call them one of the top tem teams right now, there are more deserving teams at the moment. If they can't put the ball in the goal to win games, they are not a top ten team. I don't care who they play against. Look at this years history... they are struggling to get the job done. Sorry, no top ten for BM in my mind.
I have to say yes, they are good. Are they one of the best 10 in the state, I have to say no. They need to be dropped from the top ten. Tying Ben Franklin is proof of this. How many games have BM tied this year. Why aren't they winning those games?
There are more deserving teams that are WINNING GAMES than this team.
Bro Martin is no top 10 team, but yes they are a good team.
Stop voting on them for their past accomplishments and expectations.
