I haven't commented on the game since it happened. All I respect from the entire posts from everyone that messaged on the game is the comment...
"Sometimes, it's who wants it more," St. Louis coach Jason Oertling said. "Sometimes, it's who gets lucky.
Bish you're wasting your life trying to bash comments made by Teurlings players/fans. Both teams played well that game and both wanted it the same amount. I disagree on comments that say St.Louis was the better team that night. If you were at the game then you would have witnessed that both teams had their opportunities and as "Coach Oertling" stated ***Sometimes, it's who gets lucky***
Congrats to St.Louis on the win and both teams on a great season.

You're wasting your life trying to bash comments made by Teurlings players/fans. Go pick some cotton or something. Both teams played well that game and both wanted it the same amount. I never once said St. Louis was the better team, nor did I say that Teurlings didn't play well. I'm not quite sure where you are getting this from. Maybe it's just a bunch of anger built up. My only beef is with Teurlings' coach not giving credit where credit is due by trying to say the goal was luck, or saying that they scored on themselves. St. Louis's coach did say "Sometimes, it's who gets lucky." However, don't you think he was saying that because it was the right thing to say? Do you think he would have said "OMG We totally owned Teurlings tonight, they suck and yeah we deserved to win because we are a much better team." No, he did the noble thing. Teurlings' coach on the other hand... Try reading between the lines.

Is Teurlings still complaining??? Teurlings had 3 chances to beat St. Louis this year and could only do it once. Teurlings easily had the most talent in Division III this year, but you were outplayed and outcoached in two of the 3 games. From what I saw, what St. Louis lacked in skill and experience; they made up for in teamwork and desire. I agree.

Spoke to TCH coach.....his comment to the paper was "those kind of goals happen".....not own-goals happen. Besides, he & and Coach Oertling are good friends....he would never disrespect St Louis. Either way, game & season is over.

If you want to talk luck, how lucky is scoring 3 goals at the end of the first game to win by one. No luck there? I guess STL was lucky in the second game in that TCH was unlucky to not luckily do it again? Is it that maybe good teams create their on luck? I think it cuts both ways.

Actually anyone that kept track with teurlings knows that they are a 2nd half team most of the time. They came back and beat STM on the turf at the beginning of the season and everyone also remembers the TC vs. OC game when Teurlings came back to score 3 in the last 5 minutes. Also i think the Menard game 2 years ago had Teurlings scoring 3 in like a min. and half.
Please consider St.Louis's goal as luck. I know Lil Lapira's a great player but I'm sure he didn't mean to make that ball hit the defender's knee and then go in.
Bish... no anger has been built up. I stated my only opinion to the game that bothered me about the better team winning considering both teams had great opportunities and the goal being luck (my point of view). Teurlings lost that game due to not being able to finish their opportunities

No anger? You are personally attacking me with your "get off your knees and..." Call it what you will, but that's anger.
I know you may think it's luck, but I really don't care. I'm talking about Teurlings' coach. It's not a huge thing, but still, he shouldn't have said that to the newspaper, even if he thought it was true.

why is this even being talked about anymore... No one can do nothing about it now.. a ball can deflect off of anyone... sometimes you get lucky and it happens... i mean you cant say "oo look the defender is sticking his leg up.. i bet if i hit it the ball will spin into the goal" It was luck.. nothing can change it... but luck or not its a goal... and Teurlings wouldve taken the goal if it would've happened in their favor...

well coupstud, since you obviously play for coup, then you either play for teurlings or are good friends with teurlings playeres, and your going to say st louis got lucky... but just because the goal that happend to go in was in your opinion lucky... doesnt mean they shouldnt have won..... either team could have scored... and i dont get how teurlings got unlucky because they didnt finish... good teams win games.. saint louis won 2 of 3... they are better, they have the trophy, they proved it, stop crying teurlings players we are all sick of it.

True, but when you have an open shot, and if there are people in between you and the goal, the idea is to get the ball in the goal however possible, be it deflection or straight in.
My question is this. So anytime a ball has been deflected it is considered luck?
Yeah I'll "man up." hahahaha I guess I'll call every Teurlings player and tell them how I feel as well. Seriously, what the heck?
I know, I said it wasn't that big of a deal. It's just one thing in the article that stuck out to me. It sounds like he's discrediting St. Louis.
How does me "getting a life" have anything with st. louis being lucky?

I played against both teurlings and st. louis... and the better team doesn't always win... talent wise teurlings is better than st. louis, teurlings is bigger faster and more talented on the ball. St. Louis came out on top Congratz but even their coach admitted they got lucky

saint louis got a lot better at the end of the season, they got the right people in the right place... and bish already said that thats just the honorable thing to say by the saint louis coach... im sick of teurlings players and fans saying stl got lucky, yeah the better team doesnt always win, but if you watched the 2nd time these two teams played, saint louis probibly outshot teurlings by about 10, and your going to say it was on a small field, but its harder to create chances on a small field so they showed they can create chances on anyone and can beat anyone.
