Yea because their district was the easiest out of every school in the state. The only team who had it easier was the STM Girls team

But Dylan is a great keeper. No goals is because the district was easy

No doubt Dylan is the best keeper in the state... Should be a great battle betwixt the STM defense (especially Drew Moroux and Conley Pomeranke) and Michael Lapira. Also look for Mitch John vs. Alex France as well. Last years All District Goal Keeper: 1st Team -Miles Thibodeaux (sophomore, Beau Chene) 2nd Team- Dylan Broussard (junior, STM) Not saying who is better, just that there IS doubt. By the way, STM will win 4-3. The keeper from STM may have been 2nd team All- District but he was 1st team All-State, the keeper from Vandy was 2nd team All-State as was the keeper from DeRidder

good result for both teams this early in the season, especially with both schools still being in the football playoffs

St. Louis defense was clearly overmatched in this game... Chris Peyton was simply too much. And as far as my earlier prediction of the "interesting" matchup between the StL forwards and STM defense - defense completely dominated. Mitch John, Matthew Laborde, Marc Roberts, Conley Pomeranke, and Drew Moroux worked together seamlessly, handling everything thrown at them. StL was only threatening on breakaways and 3v2s which from the score, they failed to put away. Very consistent midfield play from Ross Selsor and Walker Dickens, also Alex France. STM deserved to win the game hands down but a thrilling match nonetheless.

They will be a very dangerous team in Division I...maybe only 2nd to Jesuit.

Also I'd like to add that both Adam Saloom (MVP last year) and Alden Heaphy (very good as well) the two wings for STM, did not play because of track.

By the way, STM will win 4-3. The keeper from STM may have been 2nd team All- District but he was 1st team All-State, the keeper from Vandy was 2nd team All-State as was the keeper from DeRidder All State voting is a direct result of playing out of district teams in your own division and having that coach actually vote against district lines for that player. The STM keeper had a chance to shine against better teams from all of the state and probably got some votes there for all state. Miles, our keeper, got the all district nod because he faced an unsightly amount of shots and time after time, came through with great saves. In district play, STM keeper was never tested, maybe shot on less the entire district season than Miles was in the last STM game. That speaks volumes for the entire team, attack and defense. In games against better teams, STM did probably face more shots that their keeper had to stop and show off his abilities. That is how a keeper can get all state first team and not first team all district. Either way, I am glad STM is no longer in our district, although we do have that other catholic school in Lafayette to worry about now!
