Any thoughts on this game.
I see both are off to good starts.
The game will be played at St. Louis's home field tomorrow night.

I think it'll be a close game that'll carry on to the whistle. Both teams are strong in all aspects of play. I say a 1 or 2 goal game at max.

stl 3- sulphur 1... very intense match between two good teams... sulphur seemed to out play saint louis in the 1st half.. 0-0 at halftime... then stl came out a little stronger and scored a goal early in the 2nd half shortly followed by a sulphur goal to tie it 1-1... both teams picked up the intensity its just stl finished the ball while still missing a few chances to make it 2-1, then shortly after 3-1.. even with a 2 goal deficit sulphur didnt back down and played hard till the end... just the better team won today even though sulphur is the best they have been in years

it was a real tight game for the whole first half and for some some of the second half, but it just seemed like sulphur got wore out and didnt have a real deep bench and st louis took advantage of that with the two go ahead scores..... well played by both teams

In the Sulphur Daily News the coach from SHS said it was evident that the boys got tired because he did not sub them in and out of the game enough. Also the officiating was not very consistant. Not taking anything away from either team because they both played some awesome soccer last night. I am just glad both teams had fun playing this game together last night. Good luck Saints in your season this year. And good luck Sulphur in yours.

The coach did say he didn't sub enough, but nothing about the officiating.

st louis was flat after holidays and emotional crosstown match with barbe. Sulphur tried to hang in but wore down once saints kicked it up a gear.......if sulphur coach didnt sub right he better get it together before district against st thomas more

i would hardly call a game against barbe an emotional game for st louis... they could beat barbe with their freshman team

it still was emotional to them...there were alot of family and friends there and it was a chance to see the awesome barbe facility....they are from the same elementary schoolls ect. this was a good sulphur team, the best in years and it took a little while till the saints slobberpopped them

Slobberpopped??? I don't think so. Beings St. Louis is all that then how come they didn't take care of us in the first half. After all it was 0-0. As soon as St. Louis scored the first goal, it was seconds later that Sulphur answered it right back. You are right about one thing, they got a little tired but don't act like they ran all over Sulphur with no problem. I recall several of the St. Louis players complimenting Sulphur players. I would hardly call a 2 point lead a slobberpop. By the way, that 2 points they beat Sulphur by, just incase you don't remember they came in at the end of the game. Sulphur has a good team this year and I believe that game could have gone either way.

Torup sorry to upset you. You all DO have a very good team. if what u meant was it was a moral victory for the tors only u can decide that. The tradition at st louis wasn't built on moral victories. Not unlike the wonderful sulphur sports tradition(and I mean it) you all mau be considered one of great shools in louisiana I'm just an old player who does not believe in style points. The st louis boys, the barbe girls" just win baby"
