Congrats to Barcelona. You deserve it. I'm looking forward to the Spring Premier Season.

Slacker and mrdashriprock you both make good points. However it is painfully apparent that the ovewhelming majority of DII boys coaches aren't involved in the voting system that is in place. Each coach has the responsibility to vote. If they are putting the time in to coach then certainly an extra couple of thoughtful hours to vote won't put a crimp in their schedule. It would be great to see LHSAA get involved and that can occur if one or more coaches lobby their school principal and AD to bring the issue up at the LHSAA meeting. A coaches political objection to the purpose/accountability of the LHSSCA should not dissuade him from participating in the process on behalf of his player or other worthy players his team has encountered. After all, it is the players who should be recognized for their efforts regardless of the system. It isn't a perfect system (obviously) but we all should work to improve the participation in it, for the players.

One thing that most have failed to mention is that most DII sides play against DI and DIII sides until district. Then they may play four or five sides two or three times each. Unfortunately, DI and DIII coaches can not vote for DII players and this is where they get most of their exposure. How can a (DII)coach possibly vote for a player that they have not seen?
