see i'm just not too sure about france right now..netherlands is great all around with van nistelroy..czechs are also great with baros..france does have who i think is in the top 3 of the best players in the world and that's zidane..and then france also has henry, another great player..you just don't ever know how they're going to perform as a team..so france is still an iffy for me

Before people count out Holland, they should see how many goals they conceded in qualifying.
France played against Mexico last night, and I dont see any difference from four years ago. Players look out of form and tired. Im not convinced that they will be a force. Domenech seems to be scared of change. Coupet is evidently a much better keeper right now than Barthez, but he's picked Barthez at no.1 keeper! The only thing he'll do well to do - is to pick Ribery. He's absolutely on form. He's playing better than Zidane. Ribery on the right, Malouda on the left and Henry up front will be how France could advance.

I just read on espn that cisse is leaving Liverpool becuase he doesn't get along with benitez. I think cisse is a really great forward, he just doesn't get the playing time he deserves at liverpool. He and Henry will be a prolific duo up top. Barthez is very, very faulty and I do not know why he is being picked over coupet.
I think France without Barthez has a very good chance at repeating their 1998 campaign.

Even if they switch out the keepers, there isnt a "very" good chance of repeating, because Brazil is just too talented, the only team with a very good chance of winning is brazil, other teams... in my opinion... cant beat brazil unless brazil has a bad game

Cisse is one dimensional and has not improved other areas of his game enough to be a major European forward.
I'd take Trezeguet over him anyday.
