forwards kevin carter josh menard midfield jake white mike leblanc blake hardy josh saboe defense alex david will todd mark st cyr creduer
goalie john boatner
bench: all these players could also start depending on who is having the better game lhs goalie, joey belfour, jacob broussard, blake landry, chris wilks, dusty castille (maybe)
i know this is alot of como and lafayette players but individually thats who has alot of talent i may have forgotten some sorry if i have but this would be the bulk of the players

Don't expect a Division I- District 3 Rainbowcycle Alll-Star final line up any time soon; because to be honest with you I haven't attended one boys' match yet...and I want to keep it that way, until the playoffs that's to say...! Actually, I want to protect my envied unbiased and neutral status. Who else on the boys' side, could be in a better position in the end to weigh the pros and cons from each possible line ups suggested and to announce "THE" line up? Who else could listen to your expert opnions in order to formulate the conclusive best All-Star Line Up without any trace of favoritism..., besides the newspaper reporter who has no political agenda nor any personal interest in the matter if it weren't to make the system fair and equitable to all "players" involved!? At this point of the district competition with only one week and two crucial district matches left, do you think your line ups could still modified; or would you say your shopping is already done, and there will be no "merchandize" or rather outstanding young men :)returned to the stores or rather :-/relegated to the bench? Did the Lafayette high's victory of 6 goals to zip over Acadiana, temper somewhat the overzealous fans of Acadiana and will it at the same time boost the confidence in the Lafayette High's players who finally performed as defending State finalists? Will it also entice you, the experts of the other teams to consider more players from Comeaux, Westgate, Carencro, New Iberia, Sulpur, or Barbe..., since at any given time as you saw happen in the 0-6 highlighted match; the best can become the worst, and the worst can become the best...!? Difficult question indeed... I would also suggest to everyone to wait before finalizing this project, until after the Louisiana High School Division I State Champioship is known, or at least until after the last team of Distict 3 Teams is out of contention for the state title...you always have to recon with those late bloomer players ... There is no use taking a great player who shuts its lights out before a match is over... The coaches would rather take another player, one who has been consistent throughout competition and who the team can always...count on. Not those players who only play when they are in the mood... The victory belongs to those who cross the finish line, who win the competition based on their resilience and not based on usurped "fame." Best Regards, Rainbowcycle.

in the past several days i have avoided rainbows threads. we seem to disagree on many things. i would just like to point out how rainbow continues to tell us how we must assess the players and continue to look for that unsung player that we haven't named. but if you notice he admitts that he knows nothing about the district. he won't take the time or make the effort he is asking all of us to make,(and lectures us for not making it). i have agreed to stay off his threads for the good of the board. i wish he would return the favor and stay off of mine.

now in responce to some of your post. i said all along that this was who i liked as my starting 11-12. all of your post make great points about very very good players that are deserving of recognition, that being said i will stick to my line up.
prejean is a very good player but just like cassbonne got burned last friday i remember him getting burned by leblanc in the first meeting,(no one playes a perfect game), Saboe in the middle? i don't like josh in the middle and if he played there he would be on the second team. (sorry josh) Gardner in goal!! yes everytime. i have seen this kid when he had support and something to play for. i still think he is the best.

Rainbows: "That was the worst answer I have ever heard. Everyone on this thread is now dumber for reading it. You are awarded NO points, and may God have mercy on your soul." Sorry: no offense, but it was that bad.
Goat I think that Josh Menard or Kevin Carter should replace Broussard. I know Broussard is more valuable to his team, but I am going on who I think the better player is. I don't think George should be first team. Maybe David, Maybe Prejean instead. I agree on the Barbe keeper being the best. And can you inform me of who Casbonne is?

The district votes for 6 offence, 4 defense, & 1 Keeper
Offence: M. LeBlanc, C. Wilks, J. White, J. Belfour, K. Carter, & Skye (WG)
Defense: C. Creduer, W. Todd (if he is nominated as Defense), A. Williams, & D. Castille
Keeper: Gardner

Todd plays Center mid. Foreman plays stopper for LHS and is probably the second best defensive player in the district behind Credeur. I am surprised that noone is even mentioning his name on here. He is big, has good touch, good field vision, good in the air, and pretty much shuts down the other team's middle.

hdkiga how tall are you! foreman big? i know the kid. i am 5'6'' and he isn't much taller than me if taller at all. don't get me wrong i like him alot and think he is a very solid stopper, (one of the best) but big is not a word i would use to discribe him.

I can't recall ever standing beside him. He looks big on the field though. Maybe he sin't that tall, but he should probably still be mentioned in defense....

wow, why all the hate for KC? or are you just hating on anything burn? I think he was one of the best forwards in the state last year...he wasn't on the burn then, either. He grew a lot in the offseason, he probably gained around 20 lbs, and IMO his game wasn't quite the same in the beginning of this year. His game has really come back, though and he is again one of the tops in the state. You should have seen all of the chances he created, for both himself AND teammates, in the Acadiana game. As for Foreman...kids grow, oldref. You old farts always seem to have trouble with that concept ...my sidekick included. He is considerably taller than you are. I'd say that right now he is 5'10" or 11". He has also filled out a lot, making him one of the sturdier players on the field. He's surely one of the biggest players on Lafayette.

Foreman is about 5'11...Kevins game was off at the beggining of the year. Kevin is probably one of the best forwards in the state, plus hes put on a lot of weight and gotten a lot stronger along with Foreman.

5'11'' what's up with that? when did this happen. Last year he was no taller than 5'8". Geez. I agree H, I think he is one of the best defenders. I was going to mention him, but haven't seen him play all that much and didn't know if I was out of my element. Kevin Carter is def. a very good forward. Solid on the ball, great footwork, enough speed to beat people, and a good shot. I don't know how anyone can argue...

Ellender should be somewhere in this discussion also. He is a very good wing.
