Baton Rouge- Emily Cancienne BRHS (Sophmore)
Ascension-Chelsea Cruthirds DTHS (Sophmore)
Mandeville-Kelly from SSA( Junior)
Trish from SSA (Junior)
Lafayette-The Boss (Senior)
These people handled their business against top teams and didn't rack up their stats for the most part against kids that are out playing with limited experience like some others in their areas like to do. They are also worth the price of admission to watch also.
All 5 should be All-State 1st team!

frmsaint you are dead on with your comments. Know a girl who played last year on a team who didn't even make the playoffs last year, when to college, started every game this year and recorded 16 shutouts. did she suddenly get that much better or was it a tremendous group of defendes in front of her? Maybe a little of both, but if you ask her the sweeper (especially) and the other three defenders in front of her sure made her life easier. She went from approximately facing 20+ shots per game to about 3 or 4. She like you has said many times a great set defensive minded players sure makes her job easier.
