Congratulations to Teurlings on a great game and a great season. And congratulations to all the seniors. Y'all are well deserved champions. And to #10, my son had a great time chasing you all over the field. You are a great player. We enjoyed hosting everyone from Lafayette, it was a great high school soccer atmosphere. Loyola played well and had their opportunities, but Teurlings was better than us today. To the Loyola soccer team, congratulations on a great season. I have so enjoyed being a part of this for 4 years. I am so proud of all of you. I know you will take this loss and learn from it. But be proud of what you have accomplished. And to my son #7, words cannot express how proud I am of you and all that you have become because of playing this wonderful game. I so look forward to watching you play in college.

Congratulation to Coach Lance and the TCH Rebels on your championship. And congrats to Loyola for a great run this year.
Shrevedad, I did not even look over my shoulder and realize you were directly behind me. I was glad that I was actually there to catch this match, but your updates definitely helped those who could not.

Congrats to TCH! 2 rings in 4 straight title game appearances! Only in your 6th year of the program! That is a nice history of success! Coach Lance and the rest of the coaching staff (Coach Lu and Mooney)... this was your best coaching job yet. With the talent that you lost over the past 2 years and the adjustments that you made at mid season, this may be one of the best coaching jobs that I have ever seen. To the 9 seniors on TCH's team... 4 straight title games and 2 straight rings... WOW! Robert, Drew, Travis, Kyle, Aaron, Ben, Ashton, Anthony, and Nick... great job boys! Good luck to all you in the future!
Michael and Everett and anyone else who's name I have omitted... great job! We'll see you guys next year in a couple of new wars! Michael, you are the best player that I have ever coached against. You make everyone around you better.
You guys were the best team that we played all season and you deserve this great honor.
Loyola, what a great run! Coach Slack and the boys did a great job. I knew that you were seeded too low and that you would give Vandebilt fits. You did more than that! Good luck to all of your seniors in the future.
See you next year at the Copa Acadiana...

TCH fast and big. They play good soccer too.
As pointed out in the play by play the wind was a negative for Loyola. In many cases you would think having the wind is a plus but the loyola through balls had too much on them more times then not. Wind aided. This became more evident in the second half when lcp showed more of the ball control they have come to be known for with the wind in their face.
I will also give points to tch for having had playoff experiance. It is worth a point, at least.
The LCP keeper is one of the best. TCH could have had several more goals otherwise.
TCH controled the game but lcp did manage several sog's and just missed on sevral good builds and set plays.
When TCH went up 3-1 game over. Too many points and too little time.
Today LCP was the second best team in the state in D 2.
This was my first D2 championship game and having it at a home site made for good atmosphere. The D1 and D3 with all its ceremony is definately nice for the kids. It makes a special game more special. But, the tailgate and crowd (lcp and friends) were special for the freinds and family.
LCP will be a factor in the playoffs next year. Maybe not so much a surprise.
Congratulations to TCH for a game well played. Very well coached and they play the game with style.
Congratulations to LCP. It will not be felt or understood for a few days. Til the sting wears off but, your season developed and your team grew in just the right way to lead you to the playoffs and into the championship. The final poll is the one that counts.
Congratulations to Coach Slack for guiding the young men in soccer and in their growing as young men. It is something they will appreciate more much later on in their lives but they will catch on.

I would like to congratulate Loyola College Prep for doing a fine job of hosting the championship. I know they are disappointed for not winning the game but the school should be proud of the way they managed the event. J. J. Marshall called on all of his broadcast experience and did a professional job of announcing the event. Messmer stadium was electric. When the sun came out and the Flyers scored I thought things might be turning around. TCH won the game but Loyola can be proud of the way they played and presented themselves.

Congratulations to my TCH Rebels for a nice victory against a very good Loyola team. It was great to see this team complete the season with a State Championship. Coach Lou & Coach Kevin did a wonderful job in molding this team and preparing them for this Championship game.
To Coach Slack & the Loyola team......congratulations on a great season. My team enjoyed competing with your team today & left very impressed not only with the talent level but also with your sportsmanship during & after the game. Do not let today's game diminish your accomplishments thru-out the season.
I must say that Loyola organized a great event today. The hospitality displayed to our team was fantastic. From the gift basket left in our locker room for the players to the king cakes & cookies that were brought to our boys by the LCP Soccer Moms for the long ride home after the game(they were consumed quickly !!), the event was 1st class. The stands were full & the atmosphere was electric. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
To the TCH Parents, Alumni & Fans that made the trip....Thanks for your support thru-out the season. Very much appreciated. Today you were loud & proud !
And finally...Thanks to Goat....one of our biggest supporters. He has been a faithful supporter of this Rebel team even when we struggled early in the season. The Rebel Boys enjoyed reading his positive postings about our team
Thanks again
Coach Lance

First, congrats to Loyola on a great season. I just want to say that Loyola was the most gracious hosts that I have encountered during TCH's soccer season. Ya'll are a class act. Your sports complex was excellent and the support for your team created an exciting atmosphere at the game today. I would drive 3 hours to Shreveport anytime to play in that type of atmosphere. Your boys, parents, and students exhibited some of the best sportsmanship that I have encountered (even in defeat). Your boys are well coached and represented your school with honor. Thanks for supplying our boys with some food for their trip back home. I am now a fan of Loyola and will be pulling for them in the future. Thanks again for making my day enjoyable.
Thanks to Lance, Lou and Kevin for your time and for making this season special to all TCH supporters.
