I think will monsour (#20) and connor randel (#21) for shreve. and Cabos of course should be easy first teamers. Their pace, dribbling, and finishing are the best that I've seen. As for defenders I would pick laffy's captain. Idk his name or number but he knows the game very well and has that laffy defense looking very solid.

Get your pens and notepads, this is the place to get all of your all-state information If his name is mentioned here you can rest assured that he deserves to be recognized

Marshal Deaton has great vision of the field and rarely gets beat. Maybe you should pay more attention to where these "u-10" kicks land. The majority of the time he is hitting one of his team mates in the feet. Also being the captain of a school like LHS is not something that's just handed out.

I have said it before and I'll say it again, Joe Hart is the best GK in the State. He has the physical tools to play but it's the intangibles that put him over the top. I've refereed several of his games over the year and he is the best at organizing the Defense, complimenting good play, getting in someone's face when needed, and generally "Leading by Example." He also seems to relish the chance to win the game himself if it comes down to PKs. It also helps that he has 2 other STUD's on defense in Alex Brignac and Jordan Schwartz who have been mentioned earlier in this thread. All 3 should be first team All-State.

Michael Yenny #9 for the Jesuit Blue Jays should be on this team. Stellar player and great mind for the game.

Chaz, this thread is meant for nominees for the All-State team. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as to who should make it and who shouldn't. For you to come on this board and bash a player is completely immature and a waste of time. Now no matter what you say about this player is irrelevant and meaningless considered what he has accomplished in his Senior year... He is the Captain of his team and a pure class act, he is the leader of a stellar defense that shut out a St. Paul's team that scored 7 goals the game before, and also shut out Captain Shreve's numerous offensive threats that were possibly the most dangerous in the state. Defeating these teams on their home field and leading this team is not an easy task if you ask me. If this isn't enough to enough consider him for the All-State team then so be it, but the fact is that his team is in the State Championship and I'm sure the players that he is leading would not have it any other way. If he plays U-10 defense, then i guess the team that you are on plays U-9 offense.

The Jesuit players that need to be on the team are Schwartz and Cabos for first team. Hart and Petrou are borderline first/second team players. I think if they are able win state without Cabos that would be a good enough coaching job to earn coach Collins the coach of the year award. That would be two straight undefeated seasons, I dont care how good the players are that would be impressive if he is able to pull it off.

I concur with 'lsurebel' regarding Parker Weeks and Chris Wheelis...outstanding soccer players and should be recognized even if Pineville did not go far into the playoffs.....

Parker and chris are great players and deserve this I just hope the fact that they don't play for a perennial 5A power won't hurt them.

Nobody mentioned Daniel Poole from byrd, but even tho he didnt have a decent team in front of him, he is a top notch goalie and should get consideration for all-state. especially cause its his senior year. there is nothing any goalie can do with no defense in front of you but ask club players and they will tell you how good he is.

Alex Blandin from Caddo cannot be left off this list. TJ Freeman - Vandy Jordan Galjouir - ED White Mason Becnel - Central Lafourche
Kids from smaller school don't get the credit they deserve because they dont have the supporting cast like the other bigger schools like Jesuit, Lafayette, or Shreve. They also dont get the chance to play these big name teams either.

How many people are on the team? Is it 1 keeper 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 2 forwards?

Will Monsour should be a no doubt all state first teamer. The kids pace and touch on the ball is unbelievable. I watched every game he played this year and not one player could keep up with him. Not only can he finish with the best of them,he also has great vision and can make a precise pass or through ball to set his teammates up from anywhere on the field. He was very vocal and always had his team ready to play. He was the catalyst of this captain shreve squad which I believe wouldn't have even been a top 10 team without him. Not only does he deserve all-state but IMO he deserves all-state MVP...
