I give the nod to St Louis, but a very close game. Home field advantage could be the thing that might give Vandy an edge, its an intense place to play. St Louis has a way of making things happen though. They are very dangerous on throw ins and corner kicks. Only saw Vandy once this year and it was in tournament play and it wasn't overly impressive, but their results the rest of the year definately speak for themselves. Should be one heck of a game though. If it were in Lake Charles, I wouild be there with bells on!

STL takes the title back to Lake Charles. Sure, it's at Vandy but don't forget STL travels very well. Set pieces are huge for them and like dhsmom stated..throw ins are deadly. I see them pulling out a win in 3-1 style. Sweep for guys and girls to STL

vandy hasnt lost to a DII team this year Well it looks like they might lose soon. STL is going to have an army of fans behind their bus, and they are playing well. They just need to play SMART and PLAY TOGETHER. This is shaping up to be an instant classic, and the birth of a new rivalry. Cannot wait for this.

I think both schools boast quality programs. Having seen both teams once ( I didn't get to see the second SL Shreve game at St. Pauls) my take is this. Vandy has the most dangerous single weapon in Freeman but St. Louis has the more well rounded squad. Vandy has the home field and if they can hold a Cabos-less Jesuit to a goosegg then they should hold STL to no more than one. Now can Vandy score 2??? My head tells me STL 1-0 over Vandy in a very good game

They do not count on just one "goal scorer". There are plenty of guys that are able to strike when the opportunity presents itself. As far as scoring off of set pieces, they just take advantage of these situations and execute better than other teams that you may have seen.

St Louis is VERY effective off the corner and the long throw in.

Not so much corners, but their THROW-INS are extremely dangerous. if your goalie is undersized those tree's they send in the box (6+ footer's) are good at putting the ball in the net. STL 2 Vandy 1.

STL 2 Vandy 1. good to see you back fifa! Vandy has a solid goalie Im not sure how tall he is but I know it is over 6 feet. This game will be a great one. St Louis wants to prove Copa was a fluke, should be fun to watch. I'll be pullin for D&D and Vandy! Love the hat guys GOOD LUCK!!!!
