This. Kid was clutch. Had to endure all kinds of pressure and free kicks and corners and was nearly perfect. Aside from him, #23 I think and #13 in the back played solid defense...Scoggins leg came in handy getting that ball out under pressure on many occasions. As far as the referee issue, seeing as I'm the Only Uhigh supporter who has posted about them thus far, I'm going to assume Timaeus' post is mostly directed toward me. Which is confusing, because in no way, shape or form did I say rhe ref won or lost the game. Regardless of the level of missed calls and such any of us might believe there was, I don't think anyone of any opinion would say that the game was drtermined by them and not the players. Both teams had opportunities. Newman finished, Uhigh didn't. Good or bad, refs didn't put the goals in the back of the net, or block a PK, etc etc. I understand the caution about people posting regarding the referees, but come on no ones suggesting that was the reason for the loss. Great game, and I don't think anyone posting is trying to turn it into an argument about refereeing. Considering that their goalie is a freshman, and didn't start until a few games left in the season, I would think that this kid looks like he's going to have a pretty bright future Why the change in goalies between first and second half?
