Just heard from our assignor that the Parkway-Salmen game is back on. Parents were upset when they heard about the forfeit and are now bringing the players themselves. Good for the parents.
Also Calvary - West Ouachita is Thursday 4 PM at Calvary.

Way to go Salmen parents. If a team has made the playoffs, then they deserve to play the game they have earned.

Well done Salmen parents, it does not matter how far the drive and what everybody else thinks the results will be those girls have sacrificed and worked for this opportunity

Great job parents - can not imagine telling the girls after a tough season of fighting to end it like that - I know the finances fit in but there is always a way when you work together.

And I'm sure they would be happy to come back up to beautiful Shreveport if their girls made it to the second round. Especially since people from S. Louisiana love to travel north.

Good for those parents to step up. I would be highly ?!$%## if that happened to me as a coach or parent. Good luck to all in the playoffs.

I actually had the chance to see Salmen play. Not really skilled players but they are a fiery bunch. Glad to see their parents step in and make it happen.

Congrats to Calvary. Interesting question on Salmen - will the school take the travel pay if they don't pay for the travel? Parkway is supposed to give them the amount specified - shouldn't it go to the parents - if they are footing the bill for travel?

The school should split it between the parents who took the girls.

Congratulations to Ruston and Parkway. 2nd round is going to be interesting. My picks are St. Louis,. Ruston, Neville, Ursuline, Teurlings, St. Michael, ?, and Vandebilt. I'll leave the Parkway-Loyola game alone and just say it will be a hard fought contest as it has been all season. All Loyola's players are healthy at this point, which was not the case in previous games, so that's good. WHO DAT!

This is the first time I've ventured over to the Div II side of the playoffs, and I just wanted to say that I'm so excited for Calvary, Loyola, Neville, Parkway, and Ruston to ALL make it to the second round! That shows some North LA strength. Way to go and good luck! (Unfortunate about the Parkway/Loyola game next round, but sometimes that's how they fall. It will be a GREAT game though)

Thanks lcpsoccermom. I just started coaching at Benton this year and was very proud of my girls. They played Woodlawn very strong yesterday. We failed to mark everyone on a corner and it went right to a waiting foot in front of the net. My goalkeeper made a couple of outstanding saves late in the game as we were pushing trying to get the equalizer. She is 1 of only 3 seniors that were on the team so hopefully we'll be back and stronger next year. I would like to see if we can get a match scheduled with Loyola next season.

McKinley girls addressed the transportation issue before we drew the wild card for playoffs! We knew transportation would not be provided for the girls, so we had a back up plan from the beginning! I am glad we pulled for our team and took them to Ruston. It was a hard fought game that gave our young players a taste of the playoffs. I am glad our parents stepped up and provided a way!! Getting a goal on the score board was huge sucess for the girls! Building blocks and baby steps to a stronger season next year!

As one of the Ruston coaches I just want to say that McKinley played a great game from beginning to the end! Number 13 I think played hard the entire game and deserved the goal that she got! Good Luck to you next season and thanks for making the trip to Ruston to give us a great game
God Bless

Loyola vs. Vandebilt in the quarterfinal round. That seems so familiar somehow! Another Adams soccer player on the road to Houma. This time mom gets to come and watch.
