Shreve 1 Loyola 1
Shreve 0 Byrd 0
Magnet 3 Southwood 0
Byrd 0 Ruston 0
Southwood 0 Haughton 0
Loyola 1 Ruston 0
Southwood has some work to do, Magnet and Shreve both look ready to go. Loyola has some good talent, once they learn how to play with each other they are going to be really good.

jamboree at st freds was quite entertaining... it was WWF raw with a little bit of soccer. crowville's forward with held no hesistation to put neville's goalie in a headlock, while looking at the ref in confusion. then some guy in the stands yelled some obsene stuff to the ref because crowville's p.k. shooter missed the p.k. i laughed alot. it was a wholesome family outing.

that is poor sportmanship. Will Neville be able to do big things this like previous years?

The Shreve vs. Loyola game was a very intertaining game to watch. Supposidly Loyola was missing 4 or so starters. I can't wait to see them in action when they have their full team together. They did, however look a little sloppy on the field. They need to learn to work together. When they do that, there is no limit to what they can achieve. What did everyone else think about the game? I saw some players that I think will stand out in the city this year. Loyola's forward looked pretty good.

this is a re-building year for neville. they lost a lot of experience, and their squad has a big number of young guys. this will probably be a down year, especially on a rebound from their last year's achievement

Neville is definetly rebuilding this year. You could tell they were missing Mario Garcia and last years squad alot. I'm not sure but I don't think they had everyone for saturdays game against Crowville. It was a well fought game though. Crowville shot 9 times to Neville's 5. Winning only 1-0 and missing a p.k.

Hmm well here's I assessment of the teams. St. Freds solid team, however suspect on defense, I am wondering about the wing defenders, they look to be weak, but sweeper and Stopper look to be solid, Midfield, solid with skill, forwards, well only one guy looks to be a major force, that could be because the other guy was not getting the ball feed to him as much though. Ouachita, well I don't think i have to go there, but lets say this, lots of work needs to happen and few more players before they will even be overly competitive this year. Not to say they won't be competitive, just not like they have in the past few years. Now on To Wm, well lets see, young, with talent, will be a much better team as their unity progress and as they grow as players, they are young and it shows, but I think they will be a good team. The play against OCS didn't really show the potential they have, but lets take nothing away from OCS they played a good game against WM, Oh and one more thing, it helps to make your PKs when you get them. that was another thing that hurt them. But talent wise they will be a good team. OCS, well throughly surprised without all thier players, they played a nice game, they most certainly have some very good skill players, especially those small twins that play, they are somehthing else. Defense was much better then last year I will say, midfield was better too, just OCS was all around better team, I am not sure if its coaching or maturity, as along as they don't have major injuries and play possession with the ball. Neville, well, young with talent, but still trying to find their identity, they have no offensive identity right now, no go to guy, but they will continue to develop and get better and I am sure they will be much better as the season goes along, kind of remind me of parkway last year with lots of talent, and skill, but just so young with no leadership. Crowville, hmm, well I was surprised that they didn't play as much long ball, they actually attempted to pass more, which they did in streches with some success. though, they still have a weak defense, other then the sweeper I would say its great, but atleast they play aggressive, wing defenders, were getting beat quite alot, but like I said they are aggressive, and played that way. Goalie, did well also, he was much of the reason, that they didn't give up any goals, he more than makes up for that shakey defense. and I would have to say that he distributes the ball , well, not many times you can say a goalie makes an assist on a goal scored. Other then that, number #8 good player, lots of talent, either #5 or 9 can't remember the number, tall kid, good player. though #8 makes the team goal.
As to the comments about the headlock, as a partial observer, on that play there were 3 fouls you could have picked from , one the goalie came out on the challenge late , and did not make a play on the ball that was a foul two, the attacking player, came in high on the goalie, which could be consider dangerous play, and then the headlock of course which was a Yellow card, but that was after the play had been whistled dead, which still resulted in the PK no matter what. Well thats my thoughts on the games.
