Calvary had probably twice the shots on goal that Deridder did. They were pretty dominant in the second half, but were only able to score once. The Lady Cavs attacked much better during that half and kept the Lady Dragons on their heels except for maybe three attacks from the Dragons. Deridder has a couple of pretty solid players that gave the Lady Cavs fits a couple of times, but they fended them off.
The Lady Cavs had solid defensive play and goalkeeping, for the most part.

Great way to talk about a team in the second round in the playoffs. There was absolutely no disrespect meant towards any team that is in the playoffs. Congratulations to all of them. I apologize if my tone offended anyone on this board. It was never my intent.

I would like to thank the Calvary people for their hospitality today and personally apologize to the parent I had the shouting match with across the field, as a coach I should never allow that to happen but on the other hand a parent talking to players on the other team late in a closely contested game is something that should never happen.

mswilb- Your welcome for the hospitality.Thank you for making the trip to the frozen tundra. Now on the subject of you having a shouting match across the field. Dont know what you think was said but I can guarantee nothing was said to your players.(from a calvary parent) The only shouting at refs and players was conducted by your parents. There were alot of comments made that showed alot of disrespect to the game and to all involved. Players learn sportmanship from there coach's and parents.

mswilb and the Deridder Lady Team - you are indeed welcome for the hospitality. We are thankful that the weather did not get as bad as expected and that your team and fans were able to travel safely.
As a fan, it was a great game to watch as both teams had things they did well and both had mistakes they had to overcome. You knew early on that goals were going to be at a premium and that one or two were going to be the difference.
Thank you for a well played match.

With approximately 2 minutes left in the game we had a goal kick in which the referee for some reason made us retake and my defender asked him about it (she is a team captain which gives her that right on the field to speak to the ref) and their were two of the Calvary fans standing in the far end of the stadium, the one who spoke had camoflauge clothing on hollered at my player to stop whining and play the game. I heard this and my assistant coach heard this and looked to the stands and was about to speak when I did so godswill dont tell me what I heard or think I heard.

As a coach it was a great game to watch and I thought a very well officiated game. I wish your team the best of luck through the rest of the playoffs and will be talking with your coach in the offseason about playing a game or two next season as playing teams like yours can only make us better. I understand you are a young team and have a great future ahead of you. Good Luck from the Lady Dragons
