M unit, Just looked at Timaeus' pics. Looks like he got you and lhscoach and the other section 208 crew pretty clearly with one pic. What? Too cool to come hang out with section 208? And where were the Randels?

And where were the Randels? Actually, ConBad was sitting 2 or so rows in front of you for the 1st part of the match, LoJic. He then moved to in fron of the left side of the press box. Not sure where mom was sitting, but both mom & son came looking for you, and specifically asked where you were. But, alas, you had just jetted. I can't speak for Pitchstalker, but I found him anyway. And where were the Randels? Lojic I was there, my family was at the 50 watching the game. I didn't come over to say hey to Munit til after game. We will have to meet this summer. Yo Conbad, get well and good luck this spring season, we (your Gambler/Fire bretheren) and the Gators missed you. I am getting much better. I love the fact that all but three of my teammates were playing tonight. Club should be fun haha. Congrats to St. Paul's. You could tell they were determined. They played with a lot of heart. I knew this game would be an epic match. Two of the most skilled teams Louisiana has seen in awhile battling it out for the title. It doesn't get much better than that! Glad I made the trip down for this. I am mad I was at concessions when Adrian scored. Would love to see a video of it if anyone has it. Keep your head up boys. We have a lot to focus on.

Man am I mad at my wife or what!!!! I had a feeling this was going to be a great game. Sorry I missed it and sorry I didn’t get to see all my soccer friends. Well it looks like my Jesuit gris gris only works when they play in New Orleans!! Congrats to St Pauls, (man that feels good not having to say Jesuit). Enjoy this one guys because you dethroned “THE KING”.
To the Jesuit players and fans congrats on being “THE” premier high school program in the state for many, many years. You have handled yourself with class. It isn’t easy being the team everyone loves to hate.
Well another GREAT high school soccer year for all divisions. Top five teams for next year? Not in any order but I think, St Pauls, Jesuit, St Thomas More, Lafayette, and Acadiana, (you know I’m going to have them in there this early).

no one else has mentioned it, but (besides the fact that Jesuit is a quality side) I think the reason why Jesuit had the better of the play for the first 20-30 minutes was directly related to #16 being out on the flank (which made him pretty much nonexistent for a good bit of the half). as soon as SPS moved #16 into the center of the pitch the tenor of the first half (and game) changed; all of a sudden SPS had more possession and more offensive presence. and within a couple minutes of the change, SPS equalized (with a very nice, left-footed, near post rip from the top of the box by #16).
beginning of the second half, it looked like he was back out wide again. but in the second half it took far less time to put him back in the center, where he positively took over the game.
I'm not sure of his name, but #7 for JHS impressed me last night - he played so many perfect passes, including 50yd transitional balls right on the foot of his teammate(s).
WHAT A GAME!!

Woah man no need to get your panties in a wad... He has probably been to hundreds of DIII soccer games, he knows what he's talking about. He was saying the majority of players(or at least the better ones) do, which is very true. You are calling someone who has probably watched more highschool soccer than you ignorant. Well played And I have probably played more DIII soccer than him, so I believe that I know what I'm talking about also. I'm pretty sure its like that in any division, actually I'm positive. Good Day.

I was at the awesome game last night (a little bias).
I basically saw a repeat, except the score, of the SPS tournament final where Jesuit tried to take out #16 with repeated hard fouls, some of which received cards from the ref, however, not enough. That should not be the way soccer games are played and won. How many hard fouls did #14 get??
I was really disappointed to see that not a single player was congratulating SPS when they received their STATE CHAMPIONSHIP throphy. I was in Shreveport several years ago when we lost to Jesuit and our team did clap when they were presented with the State Championship trophy.
I lost a bit of respect for the Jays last night.

Congrats SPS great win. I wish they didn't delete the other thread cause i had posted on their that I think Jesuits defense isn't as good as everyone says and SPS's offense especially Adrian will be hard to stop

Spsdadof3, I may have been at a different game than you, but I saw the two teams form lines at midfield and shake hands and offer congratulations following the game, coaches and players from both teams, every one of them.

As the St Paul's Tournamement final showed, these two teams are well matched, even though both were missing some key players if I remember. One thing that I think will give the Wolves an edge is that their coach has stuck to a 15-17 man rotation regardless of the score, so in a hard fought match, they will have players who have played meaningful minutes, not just mop up duty. That will be key in case of injuries, fatigue, cramping, etc. Again, I say 2-1 St Paul's, 1-1 at half.

And Adrian's goal was a thing of beauty. [/quote] Almost looked like the keeper shoulda had it...near post and rolling on the ground but the way Adrian cut back and pulled off a quick left footer definitley shows tremendous footwork and yes, "was a thing of beauty".

HappyJack,
You may have seen that but what I was referring to was the actual trophy presentation. Perhaps if you would read my posting before commenting you would have know that I said the trophy presentation and not the after game congrats.

It's hard to clap for another team. I would have been slow to clap also if my 94 game win streak came to a close. I would have felt like I let down everyone.

Congradualting your opponent once after they beat you generally is enough! Expecting them to do it twice is down right absurd! Get over it

One should be gracious in their victory rather than looking for a reason to pile on the defeated.
