I think it was a lot closer than many people (including me) thought it would be. Congrats to both teams on a wonderful season. Things are looking up for Ben Franklin as they performed very well in their first year back in DII!

Oh my! StL #12 issued straight red for dissent after foul of a BF player. Then YC for StL bench! Looked like he looked down at BF guy on ground & perhaps said something... 10 players now! Wow was it the right call? Seems like it was absolutely the right call!

He spit on a player? Classy... Anyway congrats to St. Louis on a well deserved 3 peat, definitely one of the best teams I've seen this year. Congrats to BF as well on a great season as well. They too are one of the most well disciplined and well coached teams in the state. A shame to see those seniors come so close two years in a row.

BF came out strong, moving the ball well up and down the field. The narrow width of Tad Gormley made space hard to find. I thought this led to an up and down the field game which St Louis normally plays and whcih BF looked comfortable doing also. However the pace of the game favored St. Louis. Didn't see any subbing on the BF side except for yellow cards. St. Louis was subbing routinely with 4 to 5 players. Gaps is the field started to develop on both sides. There were missed opportunities on both side.
The most surprising element was the St. Louis response after the red card. They did not drop back into a defensive posture. It looked like they cranked up the attack to another level. Big St. Louis fan base helped fuel the attack.
Overall well played game. The seedings proved accurate.
Congratulations to St. Louis. Especially the Seniors winning their 3rd straight.

Girls have done it, but yes, first for the boys.
