Is there a retweet button? I mean really, who's voting this year? The polls, in DII at least, seem off. No way a team like vandy should be losing 0-3 in 25 min halves to a team not even near the top 5. Come on voters, stop going with traditional teams and start awarding success. 13bgros...VCHS are not in the top 5 and they did lose and deservedly to the #9 ranked team 3-0 who will surely be ranked in the top 5 after this week. However, VCHS did show resiliency to beat a team ranked higher than them later 2-0 (2 goals also disallowed). Maybe you should worry about your team up there in Thibodaux and stop bashing another team to politic your team up the rankings. Good teams do the talking on the field and you're only as good as your last result. Congratulations to all who participated this weekend win, lose, or draw. Chad another fantastic tournament. We can't wait to do it again next year. Never mentioned anything about EDW moving up, don't know where you got that from. We have differing opinions, but yes it all comes down to the field. And the tournament was well hosted. Thank you to all who made it successful.

13bgros- Brendon Gros, GK ED White trey jr- Trey Rodrigue ED White sjl3- Seth Ledet, ED White Whew that just gave me the chills. And never said that Beau Cheney wasn't legit...they DEFINITELY have a shot. Just saying that it looks wide open and it may come down to whoever is just hot at the end of the season.

Just want to say how proud I am of the Goalie for NCS (my little brother) who as a freshman and this being his 7th game in the goal this season, to have only had 1 goal scored on him in the toughest tournament in the state and to go into PKs in the final! I know it is not just him that deserves the credit and NCS has a great team but from the (admittedly biased) perspective of an older brother, I believe he played extremely well.
Congratulations to Alexandria on a great match and victory and congratulations to NCS who will be a force to reckon with in D-III as the year goes on!

First & foremost...a huge thumbs up to Coach Chad & the crew from BC on an outstanding tournament. Overall, our group from Lutcher enjoyed our maiden voyage at Copa & will definitely be back again.
After some questions about whether the Bulldogs "belong among the premier group", an opening night draw with Vandy (one late shot off the woodwork from pulling the upset of the tournament) looked to quickly answer the skeptics.
Game 2 vs Teurlings...scoreless at half. A phantom handball PK awarded (referee admitted his mistake shortly after the kick was converted) deflated the boys. No need to reach for excuses however, the better team won - hats off to a well-coached, disciplined TC squad. A fantastic, difficult angle shot shortly after the PK (still don't know how he squeezed that one near post) provided the final nail in the coffin.
Game 3 vs Bolton...went into final game of our first "big" tournament with a legitimate shot to advance--albeit unlikely, needing a 3 goal win against another strong team--but a chance nonetheless. For the 3rd straight game, another 0-0 score at the half. Bears talented #8 found space behind a tough, but battered Bulldog backline & notched the games only goal.
Final kick in the gut was the VC 2-0 win over TC (which would have given us the group via the tiebreaker had we gotten 3 goal victory we needed) But clearly, we have some work to do creating/finishing in the offensive third.
All in all, a positive weekend & a launching point for Year 3 of Bulldog Soccer.
Thanks again & see you all on the pitch!

First of all thanks to Chad, Beau Chene, and all of the people who make this a great tournament. Congratulations to the Division Winners: Alexandria and Neville.
I also want to give a shout out to my Country Day Cajuns for coming to COPA to play soccer when:
They would be missing 4 starters Friday,
They would be missing 6 starters on Saturday, AND
They would only have 11 players for all of Saturday. (We had players "manning up" everywhere, including sick or injured players playing through it.)
There is only one place where you can get this many games in a row against the best in DII and DIII. We are glad we came, played, improved, and got experience.
Looking forward to coming to COPA next year.
