JHS 11 with a wide open goal but hit it over. Ref blows after 1:20 of stoppage! Jays win again!

St. Paul's... Kudos. Seriously. You all did a great job by taking a team into OT that plays/practices all year long.
Congratulations on winning Chicago Fire! I mean Jesuit.. Ha. This season was a fairy tale written by Chicago Fire directors. 1st team for CFJ is mostly all Jesuit players. #Politics
Great job again st Paul's.

It might be a little J heavy but there are definitely others.

No matter what, it is still a team effort from the coach on down. Congrats to both St. Paul's for making it 3 straight years and Jesuit for making it 5 straight years and for making it exciting for all us fans.

Jays continue on-field celebration; the pic in crowd is of a fight that started to happen that had to be broken up...SPS athletic director jumped into crowd to get to bottom of things. M

In my unbiased opinion, that was an awful no call. Clearly should have been a PK.

M, in your professional opinion, should it have been a PK? Hmm, I'm waiting for your opinion. I have my own but since I wasn't there it's probably very biased. Since two of you have prodded me, I shall acquiesce. I was right there at the corner flag when it happened. My sole pic (already posted; a real photographer was right next to me & took about 50 lightning-fast pics of that moment, it seems) was at the tail-end of the play. My opinion is that it was an ABSOLUTE CLEARLY-MISSED CALL! The JHS defender took the guy to the ground blatantly. Don't know what CR was looking at. But, then again, there were several calls he let go throughout the match...so, no surprise. However, JHS was the better team & outplayed SPS for the most part. Deeper bench, in better shape, lack of cramping-up injuries... Incidentally, I was sitting here in my car parked on street posting my last few photos & typing this post when, lo & behold, the JHS yellow school bus packed w/their entire soccer team drove past me with all of them singing a raucous song in solidarity & joyful bliss...actually feel honored to have just witnessed that candid celebratory moment. In my opinion, I think you are completely wrong coolerthanhall97. All that happened was that the ref let the boys play.
