Can't say until after playoffs.......off hand, I think Monteihl (sp?) for Rummel, Belfour for Lafayette, Thomas for Jesuit, Wilson for CL, LeBlanc for Acadiana, Broussard for Carencro, both of St. paul's forwards, BM's quick forward. Just some to look out for, but I don't think anyone can predict it until the playoffs are underway.

yes ,cody gardener from barbe is really good, but isnt all state just by performance in the playoffs? if so barbe didnt make the playoffs which would rule him out

I don't think all-state is by performance in the playoffs. I think it entails the entire season, but the playoffs are obviously a big contributer, being that many coaches don't see the talet from other parts of the state until the playoffs come around.

The keeper from Rummel has 17 shutouts this year. They include Bro. Mart twice, Vandy, Mandeville, and Northshore among others.

I don't think you can attribute a shutout to just the keeper. I think you have to say that Rummel's defense or any team's defense has posted however many shutouts. It's unfair to the marking backs, sweepers, stoppers of the world to attribute a shutout to just a goalie in soccer.

I absolutely agree with hdjkga. I was merely responding to sccrdude's post. Sorry I wasn't clearer. The same can be said of soccrdude's post.

while i think gardner is a very good goalie i don't think he will even be in the running for all state. heres why, 1. his team is not in the playoffs so he won't be seen by coaches from around the state,2. if you go by his stats he's not even in the top ten, (hdkiga makes this point), his defense let him down alot this year so the TEAM gave up a ton of goals.

hdkjga, do you really think both of St. Pauls forwards deserve it, JW does, but wasnt' JK out for a while. Also if were going to name players that were out for a while how bout mandy's nick mcdonald.

I believe both Jay K. and Nick missed about half their seasons due to injury, and were sorely missed by their teams.

I am sorry, I meant that they are players players to look out for in the playoffs......I don't think sitting out part of a season matters. If you are one of the best on the field when you do play, I think you deserve to get recognition.

These are my nominations for All-State. I know not all will make it but these are deserving. Jesuit: Thomas & Cullen Cl: Wilson Lafayette: Belfour & Menard Rummel: Montiel Acadiana: LeBlanc & Creduer Sulphur: Ahrens Northshore: Frost St. Pauls: JW Mandy: McDonald Carencro: Broussard Capt. Shreve: Wimer Baton Rouge: Keller Covington: Judice
I have not seen Bro. Marting or Cath. BR, so I cannot comment on those teams. I'm sur there are many great players out there so if you know of others please list them.

While I think Menard has had a good year on the back line for LHS, I don't think he will make all state.

I think for Lafayette it should be McNamara and Belfour. Also, did Cullen play this year......I heard he got hurt at the beginning and hasn't played a game. If someone could clarify, please do so.
