Is the field at Acadiana the standard narrow high school size field or a wider field? If it is a standard, it definitely gives an advantage to Acadiana (in addition to the home crowd). Catholic seems to play better on a wider field. Either way it should be a good game>

After watching Carencro and Catholic play, I say Acadiana. In that game, Catholic put together good passes and pocessed the ball well. Although, It seemed like Carencro was a better team. District 3 has tough teams. Catholic pulled it off. Now they face another which I doubt Catholic can beat.
Predictions: Acadiana 4 Catholic 1

Catholic beat BR 3-2 at BR and 1-0 at Catholic. Acadiana beat BR 5-0 at Acadiana. Doing the math I think Catholic should win 1-0

Catholic has alot of threats with really ony one senior that i know of...all offensive attacks start from BJ in the midfield he is the playmaker and rick is the go-to guy up top. They are a very talented team who should never be counted out

Not many people know that Catholic and Acadiana have already played this season. A scrimmage with shortened halves was played at Acadiana before the season. It was a hard fought game on both sides with Acadiana going on top and Catholic answering everytime. With about two minutes to go it was 3-3 and Acadiana arguably had a hand ball in the box that went uncalled. Acadiana went down and scored in the last minute to make it 4-3. Both teams were "young" at the beginning of the season and the next match should be a hell of a game. I would suggest anyone in the Laffyette area to go see this one. Good luck to both teams.

hey catlicbearirs i was at that scrimage and i think the final score was 3-2. acadiana moved alot of people around and played everyone on the bench. one of cath. goals was an own goal by acadiana the other was a great set shot by bj. i am not putting any stock in that scrimage to determine who will win this game. it was the first time the rams and probably the bears got on the field as a unit .the game will be a good game. both teams have talent and both try to play the same style of soccer. this is the best matchup in the second round along with cl, magnet. i'll post my prediction later this week!

Actually goat i was there too b/c there was an own goal, the set play by bj, and a goal by maggio from out 25 yards out. It was 4-3. I agree with you not putting much stock in it, but it does show it will be an extremely competitive game. Oh and Catholic's starting goalie was injured and they played a guy that doesn't even play goalie any more. It will be a great game. 0-0 at half. 3-1 Catholic with Acadiana getting frustrated at the end of the game and giving up easy goals.

hey cathbearirs, 3-2 or 4-3, 1st string goalie, 2ndstring goalie it doesn't matter. you are right about it being a competitive game we just disagree on the out come of the game.
one of us will be right the other one will be wrong, either way i see the winner making it to the semi's. see you at the game.
