Though they probably won't who would win??i strongly believe that lafayette is a way better team and would say at least 4-0 in lafayettes favor.

hey reggina your bias is showing! remember they have played 3 tinmes this year and the record is 1-1-1 with acadiana winning the shotout.
i would love to see this game as a state final and who knows it might happen. good luck lions

the only team that has given lafeyette constant trouble this year has been acadiana. Acadiana matches up very nicely against Lafeyette. Lafeyette is playing there best soccer of the year the question is how long will it last? Good Luck to both teams on there Rd. 2 matches
Lafeyette 2-1 over Acadiana

i agree lafayette is playin good soccer, but...................... i think acadiana plays great against them , they match up very well and then theres never any telling with these two teams, its probably the biggest rivalry in state!! but if they play, im going with the rams 3-2 goody has a goal, wilks has a goal and leblanc has a goal, for lafayette belfour a goal and mcnamara a goal

boujini, the score was 3-0, the rams didn't finish there opportunities and the lions did. the game was closer than the score indicated. acadiana hasn't won at lion statium in over four years.
ask your coach if he wants us in the finals! i bet if he answered honestly he would say he would rather play jesuit or cl.
one more thing this years head to head record 1-1-1 with the rams winning the shootout. enough said!

hey OK, if the ref would have called the lafayette high player offside like he was the lions wouldn't have scored there 1st goal, and if belfour didn't deflect a ball by accident the lions wouldn't of scored there second goal, and if if was a fith we'd all get drunk.
do i sound as dumb as the lafayette jv players on this thread?
if this game does happen it will be a great game no matter who wins. remember 1-1-1 with acadiana winning the shootout, enough said!

jeez, how can you guys even think about this right now? Acadiana v Lafayette in the finals? There is sooooo much soccer to be played between now and then. None of the previous Acadiana/Lafayette games even matter right now. This is the playoffs, baby! It's a brand new season.
I hate to say it, but I agree with goat and ok about those Lafayette jv's and frosh, though. You guys aren't representing "The High" too well with all of this trash talk and bold predictions that you don't even have to back up.

Let's put it this way, if this game were to happen.......somewhere in the next week and a half, Rummel, St. Paul, St. Amant, Sulphur, Airline, Destrahan, Catholic BR, Northshore, Ruston, CL, Caddo, Jesuit, and Slidell would have to lose. That is a bunch of good teams and a lot of good soccer. Lafayette still has to get through two more games prob. against Sulphur, then St. Paul/Rummel. Acadiana till has to beat Catholic BR, then prob Northshore, then the CL/Jesuit winner prob. Alot of stuff can happen.
ps - I just realized, I have posted over 500 times......I need to get a life......also, since the game is played on Tad Gormely, Lafayette beats Acadiana for the title.

if our JV i talking tash it just shows why they are JV every game is a new game and our varsity knows that at least. at this point every team is good and any team could beat the other under the right conditions we are concentrating on the game in front of us because like hdjka said they have alot of good teams left.good luck to all teams from me and the rest of lafayette high

i never said if they meet in the finals i just asked if they were to play each other for some reason. could be the finals but i don't think its going to happen. but i still think lafayette is the better of the two regardless of their past game record against acadiana.
