I want to consolidate all Patrick Mullins talk in to one thread. We can follow his progress to US stardom in this thread.
Good luck Patrick!

Selfishly I want Houston to draft Patrick so I can go to as many games as possible...otherwise looks like I'm buying the MLS package on DirectTV.
Anyone but Real Salt Lake......

Looks like the Revs are likely looking at picking him up. I'd be cool with FC Dallas.

Fagundez is the real deal. Agudelo is leaving so he could fit right in. Not worried about Bengston.

He is already a signed Adidas Generation player, so his contract will not count against his MLS team's Salary Cap.

ESN is covering the superdraft now. 1) Andre Blake (Conn) (GK) went 1st to Phila Union 2) Steve Birnbaum (Calif) (DF) went to DC United 3) Christian Dean (Calif) (DF) went to Vancouver - back to back California defenders taken 4) New England now 5) FC Dallas 6) Philadelphia Union (again) If you don't have TV access, it's also being updated on this site.

It's a defensive year.
First 5 spots - GK, 3 DF, and a FW/MF in the first 5 selections...
Mullins still waiting.

He is already a signed Adidas Generation player, so his contract will not count against his MLS team's Salary Cap. Who are you talking about? Mullins? As I understand it, Generation Adidas contracts are only offered to underclassmen. Mullins is a senior. Mullins made an impression on Alexi Lalas apparently. Of course, even Lalas said he will have to score goals period.

He's going to have to prove him self no doubt.

I would like to congratulate an amazing young man on his accomplishments. He is an inspiration to the younger soccer players and families. He took time out of his very busy schedule to meet with my daughter to give advise and perspective on future decisions. On and off the field just amazing and I don't think for one minute he will disappoint as he has ALWAYS triumphed in spite of being under rated. What character he possesses and NOTHING has been made easy for him. We are fans and rooting always for you! Go kick some gr@$$ Patrick!

I have purchased the MLS package previously and just didn't have time to watch enough matches. However, this year with Patrick Mullins on the NE Revs roster will mean I'm in front of the tv for every Revs match.
Excited!

It's worth noting that there's a TV package ($79 per season) and a computer/iPad/smart phone package ($53). It's a good way to watch a lot of soccer and help the sport in this country.

He got the start in the season opener, but was subbed out at halftime.

Anybody watch the game? How did he do? Obviously losing 4-0 is never a good start.

Anybody watch the game? How did he do? Obviously losing 4-0 is never a good start. I happened to catch about fifteen minutes of it at a restaurant that conveniently has the MLS package. From what I saw Mullins rarely touched the ball. The New England midfielders constantly lost possession, so Patrick didn't get too many chances to impact the game.

I think he was subbed off because Houston flat out dominated the 1st half and New England wanted to change their approach in the 2nd half. But still is an amazing accomplishment to get your first career professional start in your first game.
Definitely will have to take advantage of my familia having Dynamo season tickets next time New England is there
