1 min left. VC shoots, saved. Free kick. Indirect just outside the box, VC shoots anyway, over the bar. Keeper Might've been pulling away.

Wow. Talk about a comeback for the ages.
Waraz, did you happen to capture any of those goals?

I believe this is the first time in Louisiana high school soccer history that a coach has won two championships in one season.
Congratulations to Jose Ferrand and Ben Franklin for going 2/2 tonight.
Ferrand's all-time record in the championship game is now 3-1. (2-0 in girls and 1-1 for boys).

Franklin at eighth is lowest seed to win boys title, but St Scholastica's 2010 win as the 12th seed for Division I girls remains lowest seed to ever capture a title.

Phenomenal game last night, both teams played their hearts out and neither one deserved to lose. BF threatened more first half, but I thought Vandy dominated the second half. Tired Vandy legs and minds kept up with the BF onslaught in the last 10 minutes, until literally the last 20 seconds of the game when the ball fell to the BF player after a scramble in the box and and he poked it through the keeper's legs. Amazing how the momentum changes with goals like that, Vandy saw it with their goal right before half time, and BF saw it with their goal right at full time. Credit to Coach Kevin and the terrier boys for being 15 seconds away from a state championship, and congrats to Coach Jose and the falcons for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
