I saw a roster on Facebook that listed their home countries. Here it is in summary. For some players, they showed 2 countries so I gave 0.5 to each of the 2.
Honduras (10.5) USA (3) Bosnia (3) Nicaragua (1.5) Guatemala (1.5) Mexico (1) Egypt (1) China (1) Cuba (0.5)
I love the mixture!

hummmm .... "home country...?" I think the kids are all Americans... or most of them. Our team too is a mini UN of ethic origin... but 100 percent American.
There will be a lot of support for Grace King from the other Metairie public schools soccer communities which includes a lot of schools that play soccer... E.J., Bonnebelle, Haynes, Riverdale, even from across the river. Grace King itself has a large Hispanic-origin student population. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of New Orleans public school kids, from Chalmette, etc., attend.

Any thoughts on Gks keeper? Good keeper for his first year, asked by Coach Raul to play at the start of the second half of the season. He's actually a baseball player.

Top scorer for both teams are teammates on the CFJ Fire. These 2 scrimmaged @ Grace King last November. Obviously these two teams know what to expect on friday.

Best of luck to Grace King but I don't think they can slow SPS down. Don't see GK getting in behind SPS Their back four and GoalKeeeper keep very good spacing, Shreve tried left right and center to find the gaps..they just weren't there although Shreve team speed is not at GK's level..SPS 3-0

Has Grace King been shut out at all this year besides the Bother Martin game?

Nestor Peralta Jr. giving praise to his Savior! And he was booked for it, correct?? I believe so. The video clip from the goal does not show it directly, but "reading between the lines" I would guess, yes, he was cautioned and shown the yellow card by the very competent center ref (whom I have had had the pleasure to know as a player and a ref for about ten years now). If we can keep the likes of this young man in the game and not hound him out, then the future of refereeing in LA is on a solid footing. He has had good mentors. Many thanks to the LA ref committee for the hard work behind the scenes for developing talent like him (and for the younger ones coming up behind him).

Has Grace King been shut out at all this year besides the Bother Martin game? No. And on the other side, they've shutout their opponent 13 times, given up 1 goal 11 times, 2 goals 6 times, 3 goals only to Zachary, and 4 goals only to Lusher Charter.

I've very proud of the young mans work myself! He has a bright future even if he listens or doesn't listen to me. BTW, he better show up in Lafayette in 2 weeks if he want's another "famous scorecard" and a flipping coin! Don't get me wrong, I personally think the statement by the player is great. However it is not allowed per the laws of the game and I thought I would poke a jab at the new ability to submit video evidence. Just kind of funny how both this example and the one from last weeks game are both against the rules/laws of the game but don't solicit the same reaction. Still to me, his shirt proves there is still good on the soccer field.

Has Grace King been shut out at all this year besides the Bother Martin game? No. In the regular season, (which is what counts and what truly matters) no... However, SPS went to GK for a scrimmage and shut them out. I can assure you that Friday will be a completely different game, but the SPS defense is quite stout, and will be playing with more cohesion and confidence than they could have possibly had in early November. GK is a different team now, as well. Should be closer, and I see GK getting a late goal, but SPS wins 3-1.

Grace King has really improved from that preseason game considering they had a bit of a bumpy start. Jeremy Brown could be the X factor in the game considering he wasn't there in the start of the season. The Grace King defense is very young since 3/4 of them are sophomores if I'm not mistaken. I'm going with Grace King 2-1.
