Typo on nola.com's part. 2-0 not 2-1 Funny. They should take a closer look at their own pictures. Scoreboard shows 2-0. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose given we're getting press.

I agree with LoJic on there being two possible routes to a win. I think the 1st possibility is the more realistic with St. Paul winning big. King has been tough to handle in games that are tight at the finish so PKs may favor them. One thing is for sure, Coach Raul is coach of the year in my book regardless of the outcome in the final.

King goalie out I've heard Who's your source? I have also heard the same thing from Grace King. It is said that the keeper dislocated his shoulder. Big blow to them.

I saw a video floating around on FB yesterday. Here's the WGNO interview. Coach Raul says he'll be fine, but there is doubt. WGNO Video

What was the issue with the Goalkeeping position at Grace King before the current keeper was recruited? Looking at the scores prior to mid-season it appears as whoever was in goal did an adequate job.

Looking at the scores prior to mid-season it appears as whoever was in goal did an adequate job. I believe the previous goalkeeper was #9 Wilmer Toro, but Wilmer is a great midfielder and plays for the best 98 CFJ-LA team, Raul thought his talents would be better utilized in the midfield rather than the goal.

King goalie out I've heard Sounds like some mind games being played here. As seen in the NFL, a coach never gives injury information before a game unless ordered to do so. If I were King I would have said Peralta sprained an ankle. As well as the King keeper has played, the outcome of this game will be determined by Peralta vs the Wolves back line.

Yeah, I think it's one of those. Even if the keeper is hurt, if he can push through the pain he will likely be playing. Hopefully it isn't that big of a deal since it would be sad to see one of teams not at their full strength. I thought he could possibly be the X factor since he wasn't there in that preseason game.

Unrelated to the game, but though some fans might be curious what early 1980 LA high school soccer uniforms looked like. In this picture from the 1981 Shaw yearbook, we see Grace King's arch rival, Bonnabel in a playoff game. Shin guards optional. With the hedge surrounding the field and ranch-style homes nearby, looks like the game is played at Rummel High. Can anyone confirm?

I saw about a half-dozen of the GK players at Tad Gormley tonight watching the Lusher-NLC match. I guess it doesn't hurt to scope out the setting, and I'm sure they are friends and club teammates with some of the players in tonight's match.

Any more news on the GK keeper? Not that I have seen but I have changed my opinion that the keeper was not injured. Apparently he dislocated his shoulder playing basketball.
