That would be cool, and probably a first for division III, if not all divisions...having two teams from the same district in the finals. I don't think OC could be St. Martin's though. They might be able to hang with University.

I think if anyone wants it bad enough they can beat anyone. OC will have a hard time getting by University much less St. Martins. I've said it before - I think the best game will be met in the Semi's of the top half of the bracket - that's pretty obvious huh? No offense to anyone, but look who's up there. This will be a huge afternoon of soccer, please post scores as they finish. Good luck to all the teams, just making it this far is an accomplishment. I really do hope OC will advance. Good Luck!

Good for OC!!! I'm so excited you guys pulled it off!
St. Thomas Aquainis over Newman 2-0 ... I think that was the score - regardless - STA won
So .....
St. Louis @ STA - Saturday
OC vs. St. Martins (don't know where)

I knew I should have picked STA. heh
And I'm really not that surprised that OC won. If OC beats St. Martin's which is definitely possible, that just shows how weak the bottom half of the playoffs are.
The TRUE State Championship game is going to be played Saturday when St. Louis and St. Thomas Aquinas play.

Why exactly should you have picked STA? You mean against Newman or ST Louis?

I TOTALLY AGREE w/ catch. If I said it once I've said it a million times - That will be an awesome game. STA is 0-2 against ST.Louis. STA is hungry to beat them, it will be at STA and they have great fans. ST. Louis also has great fans. It will be the best game yet in Div III. I can't wait to see it.

I won't be surprised if St. Louis's fan's outnumber STA's at their own field either.

I am really excited about the STA-STL game. I think that Coxie will have STA prepared to stop Lapira, if that's possible. However, I don't know if STA will be able to get a goal. Both teams are very hungry, but if it came to desire, I think the game is going to go to STA because they played truly inspired in the game i saw today. I think it will be a great game, and my preliminary prediction is STA 1-0. I am also taking St. Martin's in the other semi to win 3-0.

The University High Soccer Team got screwed by the Refs throughout the game. OC`s seconed goal was scored off of a PK because the Ref called a faul when one of OC`s players fell in the box. When the Ref was asked why he called it he said "The guy in the black made the other guy fall." Let me add that the ref had no idea who it was. With seconeds lift in the game University tied it up, but was called off sides because the University player kicked it off the defenders sholder and vollyed it in. Shortly after the game was called. This was the worst reffed game that i have ever seen. Whoever is playing OC next has a sure win on their hands.

Can we say tag.......I pegged the OCH and STA games on the nose. I knew St. Louis would win, I just wasn't sure how much.

I don't think the STA, St Louis game will be that great, i think St. Louis will win by at least 2. STA got very lucky vs Newman, They only had 4 or 5 shots the whole game while Newman had chance after chance, but just coudn't finish. STA does have great keeper though and the only way they could pull the upset would be if he had an incredible game.

Of course the previous Message was to We suck errrrrrrrrr I mean refs suck... How about the First Goal... the "Obstruction Call" That led to the free Kick...that was the worst single call in the history of soccer..Ya'll should have lost the first round game..but lucked out..and you simply ran into a tougher team today.

Thanks for the update on that game. Everyone knew Newman was incredibly talented, so i am not surprised that they created chances. However, STA hung on which is a great attribute to have, especially since they are probably going to have counter the whole game against STL. I would expect the next game to be the same way. Again, I say STA 1-0. THe illustrious career of Joseph Lapira comes to an end with a loss.

Fasho- thats rediculus.... ill give you the goal off of the free kick and if the ref would have been any good the game would be tied and University also had the momentum throughout the 2nd half.. The only reason University had a close game in the first round was because it was freezing and wet and the wind was blowing 20 mph.
