As a coach and a referee I was rather disgusted with a coach this weekend from a certain club between Baton Rouge and Nola. Just curious and let me know if I'm wrong for posting this and I'never post anything on this thread . So this is what " The Great Coach" said to one of his players before she goes in. We need to knock those lil B****** on there a*****.
Now he's saying this to a 13yr old girl. I understand as a coach you say things to motivate your team but this was very Inappropriate . I could understand if this was a high school football games and the coach told you that.
Like I stated earlier if this is wrong to post let me know, I'm usually the quiet type but this pushed my buttons !

What role did you play at this game?
If you're the opposing coach, I'm not sure if/how this is addressed in coach clinics.
If you're the referee, I would hope you dismissed him.

First off... For him to refer to ANY child as a "B" is just wrong.... Especially a little girl... And should have the parents of his own team quite concerned...
That remark clearly demonstrates his character and I personally wouldn't want him coaching ANY of my kids.
But in the grand scheme of things... It is what it is... And if the parents of his team condones it... All u can do is shake your head!

You hear some things. I remember at State Cup hearing a coach scream at this players to get the "insert worst two word adjective you can think of"- ing ball. I do not see how the ref did not hear him as we parents on the opposing side heard him clearly including a couple of his parents who gasped. One said he says stuff like that all the time in practice but the first time I have heard it in game.
It just made me thankful that my daughter has never had a coach like that. As much as she loves soccer, she would not be playing at 13 for a coach that used this kind of language and had that little self control.

Was this at a tournament? Maybe could have reported to the tournament director or marshall, if so.

From the initial statement why in any shape or form would this be acceptable at high school?

I coach all ages boys and girls and high school. Its not appropriate at any youth level. Its sad when so called coaches are allowed to act in that manner.
