Coaches, players and refs, the rule concerning jewelry has not changed. NO Jewelry, means no 'cancer' bands, no necklaces, no braided threads or leather, no earrings, etc. If you don't want a yellow card, don't wear it. Refs who don't enforce this make it difficult for those who do, which they should. Loose jewelry is dangerous. And then there are the refs who are strict on undergarments. Geez, really, you are going to make a whole team take their undershirts off because they don't match?! Common sense goes a long way. Don't dig a hole for yourself before the game starts.

Wait, so it's okay not to be strict on undergarments but you have to be strict on jewelry? Or is it not okay to be loose on jewelry but you have to be strict on undergarments? What's next, we going to have to check sizes on shin guards?

I hope happyjack was tongue in cheek with his above comments.
Personally, I have never seen a player get hurt because they had a wrong color sweatpants on but i have seen players get hurt because they were wearing illegal jewelry.
