Dont sleep on John Ehret. They played Grace King down to the wire and led 2-0 for most of the game. The team is made up of mostly freshmen and only two starting seniors. The core of that team is Freshmen starting center midfielder Leonardo Rodriguez, which controls the pitch single handedly. The great thing about this player is that he unselfishly brings the best out of his teammates by spreading the ball around with ease and putting his teammates in positions to make plays. From 2006 to 2011 Leonardo was the face of U-12 soccer in Houston Texas. He brought the Houstonians FC to multiple state titles in that span and was ranked in the top 5 players in the state of Texas every year untill he moved back to Louisiana. His father and 3 uncles all played pro ball, and his uncle Quique Mendoza led Honduras to the second round of the 1986 fifa world cup. His cousin at the moment is the Starting goalie for the Honduras international team. Leo was also honored by Univision Network as a futbol star of the future (http://houston.univision.com/videos/video/2010-02-18/leo-rodriguez-destaca-en-el) As this season progresses John Ehret will only get better and better. They will be a team to be reckoned with the next 3 to 4 years and I am sure the will upset plenty of top tier teams this season. This is great PR! I'm on the John Ehret bandwagon now. They did "TIE" Bonnabel, even though it was played in to overtime. I still say it's a tie. Thanks for the update sr1286. Keep us up to date please. GO PATRIOTS!!

Good game from both sides.

John Ehret is definitely a sleeper . They have a very good midfield that is controlled by Christopher Castro & a good Foward who can bury any shot he gets . They're only losses were against grace king & bonnable in 2ot . They lead grace king 2-1 but with a misfortune in the backline , king were able to tie with an own goal right before half . Also they lead bonnable 2-1 for most of the game until an unlucky scramble of a shot that went through the keepers hands that would notch it up at 2 a piece with 2 min left . Other then that they have a solid team who can definitely make a run .

Acadiana'a record is now 12-1. In addition to the games mentioned on the original post, Acadiana also beat south terrebonne 3-1, westgate 3-1, new Iberia 3-1, and denham springs a second time 2-1.
They won 7 games in five days against the, at the time, tied for first in d-2 Vandy. Lafayette a team that was ranked above them, and two against denham springs, that would not take a hit in the rankings if I had a vote. Denham will have an extremely special season.

We were definitely running on jelly legs! That was a BRUTAL 5 day stretch of games and your opinion on Denham Springs is spot on! They are possibly the most talented team Acadiana has faced so far.

I believe that Nolapelota is just voicing his opinion as well, as you say, what the website was made for. So what if he is pro-greenie. I think its great to have discussion between people in different areas and nothing wrong with being a homer. I viewed his recent posts, enjoyed most of them, and did not see anything inappropriate and really did not see any pro-Newman posts either. And you say this when all three of your posts prior to this, which is your only 3 posts on this website deal with new orleans teams.. Are you talking to me? I am from New Orleans but live on the Northshore. My son plays for a northshore team. What posts are you talking about? Sorry i dont have enough posts to make my opinion count Mr. Swag.
