I think we could argue about who is the fastest player on one team but without a question in my mind Bryan Dooley (STM) is the fastest soccer player in the state. He was clocked in the 40 at 4.35. That is the time given to me by the coach who actualy clocked him.

I would say Laperia is the fastest player in the state with the ball at his foot, and that's what really matters. He is also the quickest player. I have seen him spin so many players over the last few years. He probably won't beat Joey in a foot race, but his game speed is so much faster than anyone in the state.

meg i think maybe perhaps you have an over inflated opinion of sulpher. do you play for them because that could explain the bias. Also, i was at that game and i didn't notice anyone owning the defense and "burning through them". The majority of the time lafayette high had the ball on sulpher's half.

I don't know where the statement that Brad is as fast as Belfour comes from, Brad never seemed overly fast to me. However, I think if you were to put C. Broussard and Belfour in a race it would be close, not sure enough on eithers speed to be certain but it would be fun to watch.
