In our age group, there are 13 teams: 2 RPL, 6 Comp 1, and 5 Comp 2.
Reading the rules- it seems like to me that 2 would drop down from Comp 1 to Comp 2- leaving a 6 team comp 1 and 7 team Comp 2.
Comp 2 would have play-in game between 6 and 7 which would leave a 6 team bracket which would be done in one weekend.
Is this correct? If so, would the one weekend be the prelim weekend or finals weekend?

I was told only the top 2 from C1 would stay up making a 4 team bracket with the 2 RPL teams.

K. So 4 team Comp 1 and 9 team Comp 2 or would they do a 6 and 3. Seems silly to do a Comp 3 bracket.

I know for certain that the top 2 C1 teams play the 2 SRPL teams. As for the remaining C1 teams, not sure how that will shake out.

I was told, for U14, there are 6 teams in top bracket. RPL teams are ranked 1 & 2. Cross brackets games. 1,4,5 vs 2,3,6. Two games Saturday & one Sunday. Two top teams meet in finals Sunday afternoon.

If that's correct, that's a shame. The cross-bracket play last year was an unmitigated disaster (in my mind, anyway) as winless teams were advancing at the expense of teams with no losses. Many people were lobbying to go back to in-bracket play, but perhaps that didn't happen.

Was not told top team in each bracket played in finals. Maybe best two records, without regard to bracket.

LSA has already released how it would break out the groups, BUT.... we all know they have deviated from that in the past.

The brackets for six-teams are in the LSA Policy Manual on the LSA website www.playlouisianasoccer.org1, 4, 5 in one bracket and 2, 3 and 6 in the other. Bracket teams play each other, with the third match of the tournament featuring the 3rd place teams in each bracket playing each other, 2nd place teams play each other and the final features the two bracket winners. This was passed at the AGM in July of 2014, so I've no idea where the erroneous information came from.
