Guess no one is going to talk about it but I think we are peaking at the right time. Might be our year.

Feel so sorry for that English player Laura Bassett.

I got to Vancouver earlier today and have already seen lots of people in US gear. We should have an excellent home-field advantage in BC place on Sunday.

I'm so jealous that you will be there. We will be cheering from Arkansas. Planning first day of vacation around seeing the final. We have even gotten my father in law hooked on watching. Hope to see the U.S. As the champions. I believe it is ours to lose.

That was one of the most incredible things I've ever experienced. An unbelievable first 20 minutes. Someone said that more than 100,000 Americans made the trip to Vancouver. I can believe that. In the stadium it was at least 80% US, with most of the rest neutrals who got behind Japan after the US jumped on top.
It was a magnificent performance from Carli Lloyd. Brilliant instincts to be at the right place and right time for the first two goals, and as for the third...I was in utter disbelief when she lobbed the keeper. And aside from the goals, she also did tremendous work pressing and defending. I thought she had the inside track to the golden ball before the final even started.
Now I'm enjoying dinner and watching the replay on TV. It's amazing to look back at the tournament and how much the US improved as it went on. By the end they were simply outclassing everyone else.
P.S. Before the match I went to a pick-up soccer game. Mia Hamm showed up. So that was pretty cool.

Brilliant performance by Ellis and the team. We are definitely favorites for the gold medal in Rio, and should compete for the 2019 WWC in France. A lot of the girls on this year's team will be back, while other will have to be replaced.
Lloyd's lob from midfield will go down as one of the greatest goals, men's or women's, in FIFA WC history. I almost choked on my steak when she did that!
Can't wait to get that third star jersey!
Glad you had a great time Kevin. Hopefully the MNT came complete a great summer for US Soccer by winning the Gold Cup and clinching that Confederations Cup berth.

We had an awesome time watching the game. Cheers of USA broke out in Buffalo Wild Wings. Even my mentally handicapped brother in law got in on it. He can't speak but pumped his fist in time to the chants. I can't imagine the atmosphere there but this game will be a great memory for our family.
As the mother of a girl, this meant so much. Chances are slim that she will ever be on the national team but she saw great examples of strong women. Many are beautiful too but they were being celebrated for their accomplishments not looks. Great message for teen girls.
