League newcomers, BOCA FC, are set to host what has turned in to a “finale” type game to close out the 2015-2016 Louisiana Premier League campaign. Both BOCA and Motagua New Orleans sit at the top of the table with 14 points. However, Motagua’s goal differential advantage (+3) puts the pressure on BOCA as they are in a must win situation.
“We will be looking to finish this season strong, hopefully with a win and another LPL title.” said Motagua New Orleans team captain, Leo Ferreira de Barros “A win on the road against a team like BOCA will help boost our confidence as we prepare for our US Open Cup game in May.”
The first meeting between these two teams ended in an exciting 1-1 draw with some late drama. BOCA lead majority of the game 1-0 until Motagua scored a much needed equalizer in the 90th minute by their captain, Leo Ferreira de Barros. “It was disappointing to give up a late goal like that.” said BOCA FC coach Francoise Browne “We felt we were the better team that game and we should have closed it out. They are not a team you want to let linger around so we will need to score early to put them away.”
