Can someone guide me to how to become a high school soccer ref in Louisiana?
I will be taking my grade 8 Course this coming weekend and plan to ref at the local club this spring and fall.

High school assumes that all referees are USSF trained so that's a great place to start. When september rolls around, register and take the exam. There should be local guys to put you in contact with your local association, and go from there.

Good for you.
One bit of advice, ignore parents and coaches mostly. Our mouths get the better of us- all of us at some point. I’ve even seen it at one time or other with parents that I know who are refs too.
