why are you on the High School BOYS forum and not the GIRLS, are you a coach but Redempotrist is a decent team but they lack a couple of key players and things to be a good team.

Didnt mckinley get a new coach and he is a guy. He is from Lafrinere Soccer Club so that is the scoop on high school BOYS soccer in Div II Dist 6. Do you think RHS has a real good chance to win district.

let's be realistic obviously dutchtown is the favorite to win but second place is up for grabs.............and rhs is looking to win a district game as they won 0 last year..........in a "rebuilding" year your main goal is to end with a better record and better play than the previous year, they have accomplished their first goal: to win more games than they did last year and their second goal to win a district game. They do this they have accomplished the goals they set, everything else is langniappe....

Bizarre is the only word to describe it and not to mention filled with cards, I think there were 8-9 cards given out, some warranted but most were baffling to both benches. Anyway, RHS attacked first and continued to pound away at the McKinley goal for several minutes. Victor Mata scored on a ball that came across the middle of the goal and he was positioned perfectly on the back door and put it away. RHS 1 -MHS 0, then it got strange McKinley seemed frustrated and the boys on both teams started playing each other instead of the ball, some cards were thrown. However RHS kept the ball on the Mckinley side getting several throw in and several corner kicks. On a particular throw in by Jason MacKay it went towards the mouth of the goal and the goalie tipped it in. RHS 2- MHS 0. The second half Mckinley began to attack the RHS side more and scored (Tyler Fitzsimmons) when rhs was down a man, coaches nightmare, the goalie saved the ball barely but as he landed it popped out from underneath him and into the goal. RHS got back to 11 and played defense for most of the rest of the game. It really was a roller coaster game. McKinley is a very talented team and very big in size, RHS just played their game and won, despite all of the craziness on and off the field.

The EA @ Dutchtown game will be played on Dec. 15th (Wednesday).
It was moved so that Dutchtown could attend the Showcase tournament in Lake Charles.

the ref in the MCK @ RHS game was gettin pretty crazy. that second RHS goal, from my POV, went right over then MCK keeper's head (he's a pretty short guy). IMO, the game should have ended in a 1-1 tie, but who knows what could have happened in overtime.

Did the McK keep make an attemot for the ball? Maybre it grazed his glove. I wasn't there at the game but I can only assume he made a play for it or maybe he didn't realize it touched his glove.
As a former goalie I used to wear golves that were a hair too big, i got called for something similar and had no idea if I had touched it from that point on my coach told me that if I was the only one that had a play for the ball to either catch it (only of 100% sure) or duck and let it go in (if it hadn't touched anyone else) so that there would be no doubt that it was thrown in.
I know that sometimes calls are made that baffle, but there are ways to insure there is no doubt. Good Luck in your nex t match!!
