Dominican- #23 #2. Not sure what club #2 plays for? Does anyone know? Newman- #8, believe she plays club on the Northshore? Mt. Carmel- #17 not sure where she plays club. Does anyone know? St. Scholastica- The whole starting line up, #9 #8, #4 #7 #2 #3 and the keeper #1- I think they all play for MSC's Club These are just the teams I have seen and the girls that stood out. Lots of solid seniors/MSC kids on Lakeshore team. Will give STM a run this year.

Kind of new to posting on the soccer board but not new to reading the post. Sometimes on the boy's side, they post who some of the top players are from the top teams. Who are some of the best players around the state on the girl's side? Is North, LA on the rise with players? Does South, LA have the best? What about the Lafayette area? Can anyone help with this? Also, what clubs do they play for? . Still trying to understand how D-1#1, Mandeville, seed could roll up to I-20 and play 3 games in one day dominating 2top seeded D-1 teams and a D-2 team in the same day. The must be very FIT or Very deep.

formermanager, thanks. The first mention of a public school Lakeshore! Now Mandeville. Nice. Any specific players?
Lakeshore with MSC players, MSC must be very strong.

Sorry goalie1, I was trying to find her number. Wanted to see what other people were saying. She is an outstanding player.
Another mention of a public school player as well. Not many so far. Thanks, goalie1

Shot out to Belle Chasse girls. What clubs do they play for? Any idea? Not sure if they have club soccer on the Westbank. Do they?

HTSA’s Ladyhawks 02 team has a nice collection of players which are freshman, sophomores, and juniors that play for Vandebilt (8 players), Central Lafourche (4 players), ED White (2 players) and few other high schools in Houma/Thibodaux area.

VCH#03 thanks! Vanderbilt is always solid, and Central Lafourche went far last year I believe. Houma Lady Hawks must be challenging for a state cup this year.

Thanks, goalie1 . Can’t speak about I-20 teams with the exception of C E Byrd and Loyola (one public, one private) it really doesn’t matter! They consistently try to play the best. All of the others play the little pts game, show up in playoffs and geaux.

fan213 I hope so but FC St Tammany 02 is elite and has several top girls as some have mentioned earlier in this thread. Their team competes very well on the national level outside the state.

VCH#03 Heard a lot on this thread about this FC Tammany Team. Must be some good players spread out through high school. Good luck in the state cup.

Shot out to Belle Chasse girls. What clubs do they play for? Any idea? Not sure if they have club soccer on the Westbank. Do they? West Bank does NOT have a club team for girls teams. I have tried to form a team under SIOA, but the HUGE problem in the West Bank. Is that girls from WJ, Ehert, Higgins, Cox are that they can't afford the pay to play the clubs are DEMANDING and also the NEVER ending having to be Mom or baby sitters for the household.

wjgirlssoccer. Glad to see Belle Chase girl standing out. Even though they don't play club, will they be a playoff team this year? Or the girls from WJ, Ehret, Higgins, Cox? If you follow that closely?

If you follow that closely? I coach @ WJ. Lol I also play all those teams and know many of the players that WANT to play club ball. Now, I don't know personally if the BC players are not on a club team since they can try to play with LA Fire in Laferneire and now that LA Fire has a West Bank division starting maybe the ones that can PAY TO PLAY may start.

I saw in the daily updated power rankings the top 10 teams in D1 are:
1.Mandeville 2.St. Scholastica 3.CE Byrd 4.West Monroe 5.Northshore 6.Dominican 7.Acadiana 8.St.Josephs 9.Mt.Carmel 10. Baton Rouge
Out of these ten teams, Baton Rouge, Northshore, and West Monroe have not had any players mentioned. Are these teams that will eventually drop out as the season winds up? Do they have club players? Does this mean they are "hyped" because of the "power ratings" game? However, Mandeville, St. Scholastica and Dominican has been mentioned several times. Are those three teams the favorites for D1?

Fan123 we played both Northshore and CE Byrd beating both 1-0. We are playing St Scholastica in a week. I was very impressed with #23 for Northshore back middle defender. We played them last year too and she stood out. I’m not sure which club or if she plays club ball. Thanks!
