I have Mandy coming out strong, goes up 2-0 onlyvto let SSA back in it 2-2 and then finishes it 3-2 just before time expires SSA has given up 4 goals all season which very well may be a state record. Any prediction of Mandy scoring more than 1 goal is suspect.

Plenty of aunts, uncles, dudes, clowns, and qoalies out there waiting for this one! Lots of talent out there on both sides. Emotions will be off the charts for these ladies. A lot on the line here and the Doves are feeling it right now. Coach Jacques, first year with these ladies, has gotten them to buy in. Changing my prediction...4-0

I bet that’s what people said in the 2014 World Cup about Brazil. Then they got spanked 7-1 by Germany. I bet that’s what people said about Chelsea last week. Then Man City smoked Chelsea 6-0. I’m not saying several goals are likely, but anything can happen in playoffs. Anyone comparing LA HS girls soccer to World Cup and Premier League futbol is suspect.

Why isn’t ssa playing a home game at their own school? Is their field that bad?

Too much Glitch in the new scoreboard. Bad on the eyes.

Why isn’t ssa playing a home game at their own school? Is their field that bad? Rain all year has certainly had its toll on SSA’s field. Doves only able to play 3 true “home” games. Hopefully that is something that is addressed by the school in the future. Regardless, crowd expected for this one better handled at Hunter Stadium.

Howevwr, SSA Dads have had the same semifinal mindset for the last 15 straight years.

I’m eyeing Northshore teams this year in D1 and maybe D2. Something in the soccer water is working. In D1, Keep an eye on SSA (returning champs under new coaching), , Mandeville, and Northshore (they’ve been young for 2 years straight and made a run last year). I’m curious to see if the Nola power houses (Mt Carmel and Dominican) or Acadiana will beat those teams. In D2, watch Lakeshore (due to Northshore soccer water powers), STM, and if Ben Franklin starts to return. I’m curious to see if the West Ouachita, Parkway, and Central Lafourche can hang with those top 3. [br How about my preseason predictions^^^ how’s that for suspect?

"I’m sure the SSA dads had the same mindset 2 years ago against Fontainebleau"
"SSA dads" legend continues to grow. A bunch of fans that include students, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, moms, and dads supporting their team that has performed extremely well for a number of years while playing "UP" to Division I. Oh yeah, and are having fun along the way!
Yes deems, we lost to Fbleau 2 years ago in semis and we have lost matches before that and maybe matches in the future, but at the end of the day you can't deny the legacy this program has built.
The seven seniors on this team have put their heart and soul into this program for 5 years and WANT to see this all the way through. Congrats to those young ladies....and GO DOVES!

No doubt a great run for those seniors, and they may very well cap it off with another state title, and it’ll be deserved if they achieve it as well. I made a prediction, a guess. My comment on the game 2 years ago was strictly in response to PJP that things happen, I can’t remember the score but I feel like it was 2-1, 3-1 or 3-2. And if I recall correctly SSA had only given up 6 goals all year. However the game goes, no doubt the players will leave it all on the field and it would be a great one to watch live. Good luck to both and may every player walk off the field healthy after it’s over

Bold predictions Coach O. Not that BOLD but but a correct one for sure. Better than mine from Feb 2018....I believe it was SSA, Acadiana, Dominican, and St. Amant (before they lost 2 great players)

Fingers crossed I hope the Jerry Jones/Barry Switzer saga ends well for SSA. Those girls deserve it!

My first impression of you is that you are knowledgeable but like to have the last word. Sort of like my wife. No offense. Just an observation.

Mandy v SSA fun fact of the day.
The leading scorer for Mandeville against SSA in the last 12 months just happens to be SSA defender #17.
