Kudos to Coach Sean. Class Act all the way around. He will be on the the other end a year or two from now. This year Just did not set up well for him or others. Kudos to Coach Bertram in his first year pushing all of the buttons and getting his squad to Laffy. Great dude, let’s eat some crappy Mexican food next week, then walk across the parking lot and watch some girls championship soccer with our Northshore friends sans DME. Deems wishful thinking has gotten you nowhere. Congrats District O Death! ROCK on SE LA!! #Jaques#Bertram#SELA#Winners!!

Shout out to coach Matt Jacques. Like I said in an earlier post, he has these young ladies playing their best soccer at the most important time. They are “all in” and have a lot to play for!!

Congratulations to Coach Esker and his Lady Skippers. As a team, they are a class act and should be very proud of their season. Unfortunately, people aren't talking about that because of one dirty, low-skilled player. Every single SSA and Mandy player on the field and bench is better than her in every way. She got out played, out hustled and out classed. She got scared and panicked. The trash goes out on Monday. She needs to be on the truck.

I didn’t see the match, nor am I aware of what happened on (and off) the pitch. Apparently something that is unacceptable at a sports match. Hopefully the behavior is addressed immediately. However I would like to point out, that these are high school kids we are talking about......kids. Not paid professionals, not adults just kids at a high school game. And it’s mostly adults (and lots of parents) doing the talking. They read this board or it gets back to them. When kids engage in behavior we know is not acceptable we teach, reprimand, punish if necessary and reinforce accountability and sportsmanship. Name calling, and indicating that someone needs to be on the trash truck is beyond the pale, and totally inappropriate for any adult even in the heat of the competition. And if it’s a student communicating on the boards this way, they too know better and should be held to acceptable standards of communication about other students.

You're right. You didn't see the match, and apparently many other matches as well. That is how players get seriously injured. That's not an exaggeration. By far the most blatant violations I have seen in many years of soccer. Strong players, weak players and every one in between deserve respect. Dirty players don't. Hundreds of witnesses saw it. Multiple times.

Kids tend to play how they’re opponents play. If your child is playing dirty, so will the other. It’s not modest to be biased...

What an ugly thing to say about a young lady that you obviously don’t know. You must not have been raised right to call a fellow human trash and I hope you go to confession to ask for forgiveness. You need it and some humility.

The girls played a bit rough but a former Chalmation parent of SSA called out #14 and started this foolishness. The MHS player called her a SAINT. Parents need to stay out of the opposition’s players ears. If that’s what you have to do, please return to da parish where that junk is acceptable "Chalmation"....seriously? You are an idiot! A lot of good people from Chalmette as there are from the West Bank, Metairie, Kenner, N.O. East, and the 9th Ward. Maybe even Bedico! Refs should have reined this match in before it got out of hand. I am biased, without a doubt, and I am all for letting the players play and applaud aggressive play. Playing with intent to injure, as it APPEARED TO ME, should not be tolerated by anyone with authority on the field. Time to look forward to Lafayette.....

I do believe it has two "t"s. As to good people on the West bank, I will take your word for it. I have not been there in years because I have not had the necessary shots.

Now that the dust has settled, and sobriety has somewhat kicked in, I begin my morning meditation and reflect on what the hail happened last night.
I gotta say for $7, that was some serious peak value for my not so hard earned dollar.
Again, at the same scene of the crime where just two short years ago it appeared a parking lot party was about to transpire when a couple of high IQ parents got into it with school admin employees over some MERCYless items, it happened again. BAMN!!
DEJA VU!!
This years episode involved a modern day version of Chuck Mitchell (See Porky in the movie “Porky’s) and his sidekick. Truly EPIC showing from Porky. Dropping BOMBS on school administration employees in front of families and children. Cooler heads prevailed and the quality couple was escorted from the premises.
It’s a shamed that people like Porky and others in the past have placed a blemish on an unbelievable rivalry between the two schools.
Coach Sean has always been a class act and is undeserving of this childlike behavior.
Nevertheless, the games and rivalry will continue and I will keep showing up for them even long after mine leaves the nest.
For next years game, the two schools should collude and drive up ticket prices for the game. $7 was an absolute bargain for this years version of the Gong Show. You cannot put a price on what was witnessed my many last night. A truly epic meltdown from ole Pork.
Oh, and the soccer was pretty good too. Girls from both sides played hard from the first whistle to the last.
Thanks for the memories Pork!!

Ulysses, seems that all the SSA parents are the same way, but things are changing soon. Can't keep playing with all the little kids, eventually your going to get caught. Even behind a screen. Keep hiding buddy, the light will find you

If that’s what you have to do, please return to da parish where that junk is acceptable I was taught (in my Catholic school upbringing) that God judges a person by their faith and the contents of their heart, not by someone like you. The foolishness did not start with the mom, but with the continuous intent by a player to cause harm to another player at all costs. Never have I seen such poor sportsmanship on the field. The player did not call the mom a SAINT but other choice words not allowed on this forum. All the mom said was “to stay off” her daughter. Proof is in the video floating around.

Let's see the video evidence! If the words are inappropriate, mute it! Get the popcorn going? If it’s as bad as everyone is making it out to be, I’ll regret encouraging sharing it. I’d settle for a video of the parents reactions.
