I think Mandeville is too, they have had a great team the last two years we've played them, but what I had said was that Magnet has a good overall team this year and I stated to not count us out.. we shall see in Covington between Mandeville and Magnet.

Magnet has a great chance in the next two weeks to show everyone what they have this year. I expect them to win the Parkway tournament, although Parkway should give them a much better match that Magnet expects. Byrd and Airline should also give them a competitive match if they all advance) I think Shreve and Loyola (especially after Orta gets back in January) are the two best teams in NW La. Magnet comes up right behind them. Magnet plays 3 good teams in the St. Pauls tournament and if they can win 2 of 3 they will be considered for a top 10 spot. If they beat or tie Vandy (top team in the state in my book) they have my vote as a top 10 team. I will be pulling for them down south. I wish and I know the players wish they would be in Lake Charles this weekend playing some very good competitive matches against teams they dont see once or twice a year anyway. After the Christmas break Shreve and Magnet play twice in a week. Those will be good matches for both teams. Shreve should be rested up and healed up by then and Magnet will finally have some matches under their belt after a rain delayed slow start to their season.

thank you shrevedad for giving parkway a little love...lol...we should give magnet a better game than they think...maybe catch them off guard...but we'll see tomorrow how good of a game we give them...one of our defensive players is out with a broken nose so it should hurt a little bit but we have someone to fill the spot...we are no all star team but we have some good players
