All, The state finals are in Hammond. I’m going to all 4 boys games and the Allstar game. I would like to get a hotel room in Hammond near the venue for the week and set up some daily venues to meet up with other soccer fans in town. Get Alan on a live feed every night. I guess I’m saying I want to party for a week and celebrate all these young men and our sport. I’m looking for ideas of best places to stay as well as suggestions for daily parties prior to the games. Any suggestions are appreciated. Let’s shock the hell out of Hammond with our soccer turnout. If your team doesn’t make it that’s less stress and more fun! The bigger we show up the better we leave the future for others. One thing Logic and Beauchene have reminded me of on multiple occasions. Most people just show up for theirs and their kids four years. That’s a type of death to the sport. Let’s grow this thing and be selfless in celebrating all that are fortunate enough to make it. I’ll be there now and well beyond. Join us and find a deeper passion and possibly some life long friends along the way. We can all use a few more of those!

Holiday Inn Express not too far from downtown and university - about 10 minutes away.

I'm off work all week for Mardi Gras, so I'm definitely going at least on Friday and Saturday. Probably getting a hotel room for Friday night, maybe Thursday as well. I haven't been able to make the trek to Lafayette, but I always enjoyed the Tad Gormley press box for the state championships in NOLA and I'm looking forward to being able to see some great games and talk soccer with people from all over the state.

I’m checking out of the public school debacle. I’m now ready to party. La Cantina is a solid spot in Ponchatoula for a margarita or 5.

LaCarrettas in Hammond is pretty good too La carretta is probably the best in hammond, really great atmosphere and usually has live music. I happen to live abt 2 mins away from strawberry stadium and would love to meet some of ya'll while you're down here.

Live music is a turn off now days because it makes it hard to have conversations when hearing has already been decreased by previous live music!

No margaritas but the best selection of drink, Whiskey, or wine you could ask for!

Best hotels are off of I12 by airport road but there are some that are closer to the action off of I55, albany hammond exit. Your preference, none of them are usually that crowded.
