Yeah stud you guys played well. This was by far one of the best soccer matches i have seen. Well played by both teams. But man smooth is fast. I am definatly going watch these two teams play again. Westgate played very well. One of their better games I have seen. They just didn't have the speed to keep up with smooth the intire game. their Keepers on both sides made a few great saves. Comeauxs made one from on the ground in the first half that I thought was a player. I though a red card was comming and a PK but the guy gets off the ground and he's the keeper haha. Then westgates keeper stoped a rocket in the first half. But all in all this game could have went either way. The last seconds of the game westgate almost scored off of a set peice but comeaux keeper was in posisition to stop the two shots. Great game stud and the rest of you guys. Good luck on yall's season.

Well...without going into great detail, I will say this stud...Although I am not a big advocate of long ball stuff, for you guys, I might change my mind...lol. If ya'll get a 3 on 3 or 3 on 4 or maybe even a 3 on 5, the other guys are in for a task. Ya'll got lots of speed to burn...

I love that last thread. If fans, parents or even athletic directors think that the coaches actually care whether or not their play is 'fashionable' or not, then thats wrong. The results are more important than the performances. I would rather win a state championship, winning 1-0 every game, and putting 10 behind the ball and one up...than lose in any earlier round because I wanted to play pretty.
When I played high school and select soccer for the local girls team, we had a couple of fast strikers, no attacking midfielders, and plenty of work horses. Counter attack was the name of our game.
That goes for boys as well as girls

St Amant 5 Episcopal 0
Not much to tell here. St Amant contolled the whole game and JV played the second half. Tyler Melancon and Sebastian Torrado each had 2 goals, Zac Melancon with 1.
St Amant is now 8-1-2, 5-0 District 4 D1, and hosts Catholic at the Pit on Wednesday 1/5/05

Westgate 7 Redemptorist 2
Not much to say about this, they had two player (10 and 15) who just killed us up the middle. And my boys again can't seem to finish. The goals we had were on a cross (by the starting goalie who was playing forward) to the sweeper who was playing up and on a free kick that went in. We missed a PK. It's hard to win a game when you don't shoot the ball. Not to mention Westgate's goalie is great!
Good Luck to WHS in the rest of their season, we will be in D-town Wednesday.

WM--2
Parkway-0
Parkway--4
Ouachita--3
the score in the phs vs. ohs is not how the game was played...all three ohs were scored on fluke goals...one hit off someones back and went in...another went through everyone's legs...and the third one the goalie let it go right under him...ohs was leading 3-1 at half...we decided to turn it up in the second half and then we dominated the whole 2nd half...the ball maybe crossed halfway line 5 times...parkway played the worst we have ever played
