I would like to caution all failed and frustrated athletes from the past to not put your daughter on a pedestal. All you are doing is applying pressure to a child who doesn’t need it. From the verbiage in some of these posts it looks as if there will be several Todd Marinovich’s roaming Louisiana. Pipe down a little for the love of your child! Many of these dads have never strapped on a jockstrap before and they think their kid is Pele. I’m with you on the chill argument. Argue about math and Literature, not flipping soccer!

Let me dumb this down for you guys since you don’t seem to get it. YOUR TEAM DIDN’T SCORE! This isn’t a game of keep away. The ball has to go into the goal. Your daughters couldn’t do that at full strength. Then you get a call you don’t like. MCA leaves 3 in the back and the complexion of the game doesn’t change a bit. Mighty Spain... I mean MCA with 75% possession still couldn’t score. Was MCA hoping to go to PKs? Oh no... a freak play and a close non-call you didn’t like and you’re out. Your team isn’t watching the rest of the playoffs from the stands because of 2 calls. They were eliminated because THEY COULDN’T SCORE! 3balz, you seem to have selective memory. What was it, 2018? Oh yes, that's the time twin ref called a phantom penalty in the box in the last minute of play against my dear Cubs. Congratulations on your semifinal banner from that year, but you know NHS was outplayed from whistle to whistle and were the beneficiary of one of the most egregious calls I have ever seen in any sport, at any level. You and NS Nancy can talk all the smack you'd like, but the Cubs have had some ridiculous calls against them in critical moments during the playoffs the past few years.

Congratulations on your runner up trophy from that year, but you know NHS was outplayed from whistle to whistle and were the beneficiary of one of the most egregious calls I have ever seen in any sport, at any level. You and NS Nancy can talk all the smack you'd like, but the Cubs have had some ridiculous calls against them in critical moments during the playoffs the past few years. All that call did was prevent OT and maybe some PKs. Score was 3-3 when that call was made. Northshore would have won either way because Northshore was the better team that day. Same thing happened at the end of that game as the CL game. MCA players crying on the field for 30 minutes. You need to let this go, pick up the pieces and move on.

If that is your perspective, you are more of a homer than NS Nancy. 1. Cubs were the better side for 60/80 minutes. 2. NHS couldn't get past half field in the first half. 3. The other 20 minutes was pretty much back and forth. 4. Cubs could have and should have won the game easily. 5. Your recollection is incorrect. PK was converted with no time left to respond; 3-4. 6. We play on turf and not your foosball table mud hole, Cubs win.

Have Cubs parents EVER seen a losing game where they were not blindly robbed?
I cannot think of a school in the entire state with such seemingly unlucky parents.

If that helps you get through the night... well then do what you've gotta do. Just a question though. That thing where the MCA players lay on the field crying for 20-30 minutes after a difficult playoff loss... Is that something they teach at MCA in the 8th grade? Just curious.

In fact, you should stop talking about it if you were interested in the slightest hint of objectivity in your posts, and admit it was an awful call too.

Carmel's halftime adjustments were? Allowing 4 goals to Northshore wasn't the smartest strategy in my humble opinion.

Does EVERYONE now understand how AWESOME the SSA dads are? The MCA dads are pathetic. It’s sad. Guys, lookup emotional intelligence.

Honestly when I saw the play live I didn’t 100% agree with the call. But for you to say it’s the worst call you’ve ever seen? Not even close. But as I said earlier I think we would have won anyway.

Congrats Central Lafourche on the win. The best thing about beating MCA is the free rental space you get in the MCA dads heads for the next few years. Enjoy it!
